B. When we put water on fire it does two things , first it displaces free oxygen molecules which is a necessitate to keep it burning and are now not available to participate in burning and turns into steam , second thing is carrying heat away from the fire that is cooling it to the point where it no longer burns.

C.The rivers which flows into the sea carries salt deposits , even the rocks in the sea water are made up of salt at the bottom. All water , even rain water contains dissolved chemicals called salts but not all taste salty . Salt and other minerals are carried into oceans by rivers having been leached out of the ground by rainfall .

E. Sound travels 750 miles per hour approximately

wel bro tauqeer u didnt answer a very very simple question of mine that what was the pronuncation of isaac newton..isnt it very simple and under the term "general knowledge" too

and another thing my dear lil bro,,u didnt mention the limits of general knowledge in the beginning so now isnt it unfair to do so??

and as far as i know general knowledge does include history..isnt it??

I vehemently disagree that i mentioned members are restricted to ask about history.Just chill out , no need to clamour . History is ofcourse included in it may be not in a comprehensive manner. But u can ask questions without hesitation .
