"controlling Your Time"
Controlling your time
Time: who's in control? I am the master of my fate: i am the captain of my soul, to be the master of our's fate,to sit in the driver's seat, we must control time and not let time control us. To control time, we must have a "GOAL", we must have PLAN and you must take ACTION. Importance of GOAL A goal is a target toward which you can direct your efforts, Example: when asked from farmer how he was able to plow such a stright furrow across a long field; he replied: i always pick a target at the other end of the field, keep my eye on it, and plow towards it. we need to formaulate a clear notion of not only what you want in life, but also why you want it? Impotance of PLAN:(To achive the GOAL we must have strong PLAN) With a goal in mind, it is not too hard to make a plan for reaching that goal. now take a paper and pen down these Questions and Answer them in black and white: (1) What you want to become in future? (i.e: job/ profession/ aim) (2) How you plan to prepate for it? (3) What you have done and are doing presently for that goal? (4)What you plan to do henceforth to progress towatds your goal? Pen down all eves and odds.... Taking ACTION This is the hard part, the weak link in the chain. The Hardest type of discipline is the kind that we must impose upon ourselves. There never has been, and cannot be, a good life without self-control. Programming TIME to gain time The way we use time-or waste it- is really a matter of habit, it is not easy to change old habits, but if they are bad habits, they put ceiling on achievemements. To break a bad habit and make a good one takes determination and will. But the decision to change brings the chance for success. if you find that you need more time for all your studies and other activities, consider programming (or scheduling) your time. You are almost certain to "GAIN" extra time much sooner than you would think. Where dose all the time go? In an effort to find out specifically how he spent his time, a student must keep a diary of his daily activities: "DAILY DIATY IS IMPORTANT" No Naps at daytime! Rest for 1 hour is reward if worked at good extant all the way long. Planning saves time and energy. The student who schedules his or her time; who decides how it will be used; is obviously the master of time rather than its slave. |
