Area of ground = 20*30 = 600 sq. ft.

Area including walk track = (20+4)* ( 30+4) = 24 * 34 = 816 sq. ft.

Area of track around the ground= 816 - 600 = 216 sq. ft.

It is the correct answer according to my perception.

2(2x34) + 2(2x20) = 136 + 80 = 216

Default my solution

length = 30 ft

width = 20 ft

walk around width = 2 ft

so, the walk around will increase both the length & width by 2+2=4 feet s.

so area of walk around the park = (34*24)-(30*20)

= 816 - 600

216 sq feet
