All... You have not fished out the dead fish.

Cops don't catch pedestrians :roll

It's too long to solve quickly but let us just try to. The answers are as follows:

1. The surgeon was his mother
2. The colour of my eyes is brown
3. Eskimos live at the North Pole. Penguins live at the South Pole.
4. The survivors can't be buried.
5. The man is too short to reach the number 10 button.
6. You must be kidding. Holes don't have dirt, but air in it.
7. None got shot but flew away as the result of distraction.
8. a "pound" of feathers (or bricks, or lead) is heavier than a "pound" of gold.
9. A book or a magazine or something to read
10. because his dad is UNCLE SARGUM, that is BALD.
11. Obviously mother.
12. Through a hole lol
13. Because the car went over the bridge.
14. no idea
Bee has travelled 7.5 miles in absolute terms and 5 miles from the point of origin.
the main formula for time is :
time for one way trip of bee = distance between bikes / (speed of bee + speed of cycle towards which the bee is going )

distance is 10
time from a to b = 10 / 25

in 10/25 hours bicycles have covered distance of s=vt >> 10*10/25 = 4 miles

hence both covering 4 miles are now 2 miles apart (10- 8= 2)
distance is 2 now

time from b to a = 2/ 25

now distance covered by 1 bike is is s=vt>> 10*2/25 =20/25 = 0.8

the two bikes are apart by 2- 0.8*2 = 0.4 miles

distance is 0.4 miles

time from a to b again = 0.4/25

distance covered by 1 bike is is s=vt>> 10*0.4/25 =0.16

the two bikes are apart by 0.4 - 0.16*2 = 0.08 miles

hence distance is 0.08

time from b to a = 0.08/ 25

thus there are infinite calculations hence there might be a series

lets see the times

t1 >>>>>>>>>> 10/25 = 0.4
t2 >>>>>>>>>> 2/25 = 0.08
t3 >>>>>>>>>> 0.4/25 = 0.016
t4 >>>>>>>>>> 0.08/25= 0.0032
............ so on to infinity

total time of flight for bee = t1 +t2+t3+t4 +.....

T = 0.4 + 0.08 + 0.016 + 0.0032 + ...
T= 2* (0.2+0.04 +0.008+0.0016+...)

T= 2*(1/5 + 1/25+1/125 +1/625+...)

wooooooooooooooot we got a geometric series yupppieeeeeeeee
thanks to Wolfram|Alpha CLICK HERE TO SEE...

T = 2*(1/4) = 0.5 hour

hence bee flies for half an hour with speed of 15 mph

half of 15 is 7.5 ;)

@bear
lol... first and foremost.. i really appreciate your engineering approach esp. the series part .. :-)

Ok for me the answer was really simple... both the bicyclist had to meet in the middle caz they both were travelling at the same speed right? Time taken to reach the center by them is 0.5 hours owing to their 10mi/hr speed. But the fly keeps on flying for this whole time with the speed of 15 mi/hr speed and thus the distance comes out to be 7.5 miles. :-)

All the best ~

Bear: seeing your approach i expect that somebody will still come up with zeno's paradox and say that the problem is altogether not possible. :D
Umm nice brain teasers!
Here you 'smart people' go with some more:wait

1)Imagine that you are in a boat, in the middle of the sea. Suddenly you are surrounded by hungry sharks, just waiting to feed on you. How can you put an end to this?

2)Is it legal for a man living in North Carolina to be buried in South Carolina?

3)A man wearing black clothes, black shoes and a black hat is walking down a street. The street lamps are all off. A black car, with its headlights off, comes speeding down the road, but screeches to a halt, just before hitting the man. How did the driver see the man?

4)A man makes a claim that he can predict the exact score of every football game, before it begins. And he's always right. How's that possible

5)Two men play checkers. They play five games and each man wins five games. There were no ties. How can this be?

6)Choose the correct sentence: The yolk of an egg IS white. The yolk of an egg ARE white?

7)There are 6 mangoes in a basket and 6 kids eagerly waiting to get one. Each kid is given 1 mango, yet there is one mango in the basket, how?
