A few words of Love and a Shoulder to cry on

Those were the days when I was residing in Italy, the number of suicide cases increased upto an immense number in Scandinavian countries. These Scandinavian countries have always been having a high rate of suicides. The richer the country would be, the higher number of people will commit suicide. Japan comes second in this ranking because it is also a rich country. There ian s certain link between suicide and abundance. After reaching abroad, I had come to know that its a luxury of wealthy to commit suicide.I was confused because my intellect was of a lower level and vision was limited. I asked my teacher / mentor Mr. Ongarti , " How is it possible that people of propesrous countries take their lives ?"


" Everybody is having gourmet food. Medical facilities are available. All the luxuries of life are available then why do people lose such a darling thing - their life ?
He replied, "Man commits suicide when the community around him does not listen to him. Everybody wants to express his problems and troubles"
" In western countries, there are Psychiatrists who charge huge amounts of money to listen to people. For example 300 dollars are charged from somebody and now he is allowed to speak in front of the Psychiatrist for an hour. The person shouts for an hour. My father used to beat me brutally. My mother was a social butterfly. She ignored me immensely. The society has done so much injustices with me."

Most of those Psychiatrists ask them to punch a bag full of sand, hanging in the air. Imagine the bag, that person with whom you are angry and show your anger with your forceful punches. Your catharsis will be done.

The advise of Psychiatrist rarely would have helped anybody. Man wants to express his sorrow. Punching will increase his fury.


Whenever you listen that more people are commiting suicide, don't consider lack of food. Had it been the reason, the citizens of properous countries would not have commited suicides. A hungry man rarely would commit suicide. The dominating reason is that he has found nobody to share his gloomy feelings. He had a volcano inside him and finding no other way, erupted. We are not supposed to provide him any financial help. Just open your ear to listen. And if you are very generous, utter a few sentences of sympathy. He will definitely find a soothing feeling. You don't need to do anything, he will compose himself.


But we have become so involved and ' focused' in our personal pursuits that we have no time for others. People try to find out shoulders to cry on but we can't spare a few moments even.
