Welcome to the Forum Dear! hmmm... I am not sure about indopak history. It has been a very good and scoring subject in past years barring few years like CSS 2010. However, its performance in CSS 2011 may set a stage for its future scoring trend especially for CSS 2012. On the whole, I would say, you have selected a good combination. Keep on working hard and smart until success is yours!

Islamic History received the same treatment as Indopak in CSS 2010. On the other hand, it scored exceptionally high (180s) in CSS 2009. As you have rightly observed that FPSC marking trend is unpredictable, nothing can be said with confirmity about the performance of these History subjects in CSS 2012. However, most of the times, both these subjects have been on scoring side and who knows CSS 2012 proves to be a good year for Islamic History. If you think you can prepare it well, I would suggest go for it with good hope. The bottomline is that there is always an element of risk involved in subject selection for CSS but you have no option except to stick to it and to pray for your good luck!

Right..means the rate of risk involved in Islamic History and Indo Pak History is the same??so its better to go for Indo Pak than Islamic History,as the latter will cover Pakistan Affairs as well..

To some extent, you are right. Indopak covers qutie a few syllabus contents of Pak Affaris. However, always remember that these compulsory subjects are most of the time average-scoring. You will rarely find a candidate scoring 50+ in Indopak. So, even by opting Indopak, margin of score in Pak Affaris may not be that high. If you have aptitude both for Indopak and Islamic History and you are yet to start your prepartion, then you may think of opting Indopak. Islamic History may also help someone in other subjects like Islamic Studies and Arabic. Finally, it is my personal advice that one should not evaluate a particular subject in combination with other subject, rather evaluation/decision should be made independantly of other subjects.
