Default Hey From BJ

Hey all

I'm Batool Javeria from Quetta. My reason for being here is that, my months of soul searching and trying not to be a NEET( Not in Employment, Education or Training ---- Term used by my elder bro) I realised that what I was looking for was right infront of me it was a sort of eureka moment for me. My Dad is a retired CSP from the #rd common and I've been raised listening to his CSS and CSP stories. After completing my Bachelors (BSCS) in August 2010, I planned to go fro an MPhil and earned an HEC scholarsip for Bal - Fata, but somehow I kept missing the admissions and Gat Test. At last I passed my GAT General with a score of 70 this july but still I was hesitant to go for further studies. So I thought I should look for a job, that was when it dawned on me that being a teacher wasn't my thing and my dad was skeptical about other technical jobs.

Thats my not so short story of aspiring to be a future CSP (fingers crossed)

So I've been on these forums for about a week or two trying to desensitize myself from my phobia of hardwork and what seemed like piece of cake stories when my dad told them, are turning out to be pretty scary and intimidating. I'm not much of a hard-worker rather more of a quick learner, lucky in exams sort of person.

I'm still uncertain about my optionals but I'm pretty sure I'll take some combinations of these subjects:

Journalism
Sociology
Psychology or Islamic History and Culture
Muslim Law
International Relations or International Law

I know what you may be thinking why no Computer Science............ well that quick learner thing also has a side effect.......... called No memory retention

So Hey to you all, treat me well,

(Sorry people I'm very talkative at times )

Dear, two things matter alot in this exam. The expression and the Knowledge. You seem quite at home in the former attribute (as your post suggets) and if you manage to cope with the latter phase simultaneously, then there are no reasons which should render you unsuitable for the post of CSP. Best of luck.

To select your optional consider three things,
Your background knowledge
your interst
and scoring trend
besides, while selecting your optionals overview the syllabus as well as past five year papers.

Most welcome
