Avoid regular use of "Netspeak" or other "cute" grammar or spelling (For example: writing "R U a woman?" instead of "Are You a woman?").
As you people are new members ,read Forum Rules and Regulations

Thread Starter : Well , welcome . Hope you will be having some guidance and help here . Being an environmentalist i can tell you that it is not easy out there to survive unless you are in any foreign place say U.A.E ,Europe etc , But to live here in Pakistan , best thing is to do CSS . So , hope you will be gearing up for it . Do side by side or one by one ,but do it . Start some reading right now , let it be Dawn or any current affairs journal , and with it search this forum . These are your appetizers for now .

Welcome to the forum.

CSS is not a very tough game. It does however demand a little hard work and commitment.

To improve your English start reading some newspaper, preferably Dawn, owing to it being the best newspaper of Pakistan in terms of journalistic values--accuracy, impartiality, and also for its correct English language. Do that on a regular bases. You may face difficulties early on but once you get used to reading it, you will like it. The best way to start reading a newspaper is to get hold of it, skim through the headlines in the the newspaper, and if a headline interests you, read the news story following it. Wonderful thing about newspapers is that the news stories in them are designed on inverted pyramid design. That means the first few lines of a story carry the most important information about an issue, you can skip the unnecessary detail if it doesn't hold much allure for you. Do the same to the other headlines, and so on and so forth. You also need not follow any specific order while reading. You can start reading the newspaper from the last page, or from sports page or any other page. Read only those news stories which interest you. You need not read all the stories in the newspaper either. No one can/does that. Give 2 hours to the newspaper daily(including the time spent on checking the meanings of the difficult words) without worrying about how much of it you have read. This way, not only will you English improve, but you will be able to develop your own opinions on national and international issues, which is very important to pass Current Affairs and do good in the interview.
