Hi every one,

I am studying M.A (Economics & Finance) from University of Karachi. I'm in my last semester. So, my friend talked to me about giving a CSS exam and join as a civil servant and by looking in this forum, i see, there is some craze to join as a Civil Servant. I have read some info about CSS on these links:

1) css dot com dot pk
2) studyandexam dot com/css-exam-general-information

So, if i want to join either of these;

"Pakistan Audit and Accounts service" OR "Foreign service of Pakistan"

what subjects should i choose for each group? and why?

All the help will be much appreciated.

you can choose your optional subjects with your own choice.
Subjects don't have to do anything with your choice of group but your marks will matter the most.Choose your optional subjects with your choice.

I would like to add in the above-stated words of the respected member that you should not be worried about the optional subjects selection. You should start reading Dawn newspaper on daily basis if you are not doing so. Secondly, pick a compulsory paper and read one or two recommended books. Do this in one month. You will feel easy and comfortable to go with the schedule of CSS, and during this one month, try to read the syllabus and past papers of the subjects that can be studied at the best possible manner by you. Your subject selection will not hinder or matter in the allocation of your desired Group.

In the end, I would like to say you will find everything related to your educational endeavors at this prestigious Forum. All powers to your, dear!

ok, and if i want to appear in 2016 attempt, when will i be required to submit form to appear in exams?

The admission forms are usually submitted in September every year and the papers in February. Keep in touch with the Forum...Hullabaloo will kept you updated each and every step with the passage of time.;)
