Hazrat BEHLOL:

Behlol ne teenon masaail ko ghaur se suna, aur matti ka aik dhela Abu Hanifa ko maara aur bhaag niklay. Abu Hanifa ki peshaani per chot ayi aur wo apnay shaagirdon k saath Behlol k peechay bhaagay aur pakar kar khalifa k darbaar mein pohanch gaye.

Behlol : Mujhe pakar kar kyun laye ho mein ne tumhara kia bigaara hai?

Abu Hanifa: Is ne mujhe Matti ka dhela maara hai aur meid shadeed dard mehsoos kar raha hun.

Behlol: Agar tu sacha hai tou mujhe apna dard dikha!

Abu Hanifa: Nadaan! dard bhi koi dekhne ki cheez hai! dard tou bus hai, mein dikha nahin sakta.

Behlol: Lakin kuch der pehle tou tum keh rahay thay k Jub Khuda maujood hai tou dikhayi bhi de ga kyun-k har sahib-e-wujood qabil-e-deedaar hota hai.

AKHIR TUM APNA DARD MUJHE KYUN NAHIN DIKAHATAY!?

Behlol(Khalifa se) : App is se puchain mein ne isay kia maara hai?

Abu Hanifa: Janab is ne mujhe matti ka dhela maara hai jis se mujhe bauhat aziat pohnchi hai.

Behlol: Abu Hanifa! ye matti kaisay tumhein koi aziat pohncha sakti hai? Tum tou khud matti se banay ho. abhi tum keh rahay thay k Iblees jo khud Aag se paida hua ko jahannum ki aag kaisay jalaye gi!

Behlol(Khalifa se) : janab mein bilkul be-gunah hun aur ye mujhe na-haq saza dilwana chahtay hein.

Abu Hanifa: Tum ne mujhe matti ka dhela maara, tum kaisay be-gunah qarar paa saktay ho!?

Behlol: lakin kuch der pehlay tou tum apne shaagirdon se keh rahay thay k jo kuch bhi is jahan mein ho raha hai khuda ki taraf se ho raha hai, lehaza tumhein maarnay wala mein nahin bul-k KHUDA hai.

ye sun kar Abu Hanifa samajh gaye k Behlol k aik dhelay ne un k teenon nazriaat ko baatil kar dia hai. Haroon Rasheed bhi BEHLOL "DAANA" ka baatain sun kar muskuraya.




Members I need the authenticity of this event.
From the last sentence I got that Haroon-ur-Rasheed was the caliph at that time. If it so then the point is clear imam abu haneefa (80-150 after hijra, died on767a.d) was before haroon-ur- rashed. (150-193 after hijrah, ruled from 786-809) So we can understand the authenticity of the story.
secondly Behlol Dana was famous in he field of medicine (TIB) so..........
Thirdly, the imam was the student of Imam Jafar Al Sadiq and once he declared that "lo lal al jafara la halaq un Numan. agr imam jafar R.A na hotay tu Nouman (imam abu haneefa) halak hotay."
above all the narrative style of the the author tell us much more about the authenticity of the story .

Well, to me this story needs no authenticity, because its beyond "Common Sense" that someone like Abu Hanifa, would have thought that Iblees was not going to be throne in the hell, otherwise the only place we are left with are Heavens and I am afraid, that might not be the case with our Cute Rival.

Date difference

Born year of Hazrat Imam abu hanifa RA - 80 Hijri or 699 AD
Death year of Hazrat Imam abu Hanifa RA - 150 Hijri or 767 AD

Just mentioning the reign of Haroon ur Rasheed - 786 to 809 AD. So Hazrat Imam Abu Hanifa RA died approx 18 year before Haroon Ur Rasheed became caliph. And yes the narrative style seems vague.

A story like this one related to Hazrat Imam abu hanifa RA, compelled me to post it here. He is the wisest and most learned person of his time.

this is the book which can be helpful for authentication of the query....this book includes much events of that type....
behlol was a saint (malang*) of HAZRAT ALI (R.A) the discussed event is also mentioned there........

NEHJ-UL-BALAGHA is the book containing the sayings of HAZRAT ALI KARAM ALLAH. I don't think so that such books of high repute have a contradictory statements like this.
It is also confusing that Behlol the Malang of Maula Ali (keeping in mind that we are talking about haroon ur rasheed time) proved Imam abu Hanifa wrong while he(Belol) was in the time of the Last Pious Caliph.
SO LETS STOP THIS DISCUSSION AND BEGIN SOME CONSTRUCTIVE WORKS THAT MAY HELP IN OUR PREPARATION.
