Nice observation......but what you didnt observe is that all those verses which I quoted were actually related to Satan

Ofcourse they are Quranic verses and the refrences are also mentioned at the end of each verse, like 3:155 means Surah 3 and Ayah 155 ;)

Misconception about Ayat#129 Chapter#4

let me point out what the Quranic verses on polygamy actually say: “ if u fear that u shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, marry women of ur choice, two or three or four; but if u fear that u shall not be able to deal justly (with them) then only one (Al Nisa'. 4:3).

Now we r all familiar wid the above verses. What we tend to forget is its subsequent verse..

A subsequent verse states: “You are never able to be fair and just between women even if that were your ardent desire" (Al Nisa', 4:129).


The condition was as long as he can do justice between them.. now Allah stated u r never able to be just n fair …so the clear intention in the Quran is to restrict polygamy.

it is often forgotten that there was a socio-historical context within which the verse was revealed. Polygamy is permitted within the context of war and orphans. It is permitted only if the men fear they would not be able to deal justly with the orphans. It has nothing to do wid the ratio of males n females in a society.

This is ridiculous! The solution to an immoral society, whether in the West or in the Muslim world, is not polygamy. The solution, as found in the Quran and the hadith is self-discipline and respect for the opposite sex.

I know its too late to reply or comment this post, but i must say its never too late to discuss something good.

I was going through the discussion of all the members and suddenly stopped by the conclusion drawn by you regarding Verse 129 of Surrah Al-Nisaa. Suddenly i went throught the process of finding some reference which Alhumdulillah i was succeeded. I hope this will help you better understanding you all about verse:129.

I'm attaching here Tafseer from Moulana Maududi (one page) from his great work in "Tafheem-e-Quran", in which he has clearly discussed the actual meaning and concept of this verse which sister you have qouted. At first, I thought to translate this tafseer in english, but i guess in this way i may end up with some meaning which could distract us.

Hope this will clearify the above discussion.

Thumbs up for you !!!! The article you pasted here is such a piece of awe that i do not have words to admire your choice. Its very sad to read about the current situation of Muslims due to misinterpretation of Islam. This and some other similar articles should be published or discussed properly in the media to clarify the true image of Islam. I read the article word by word and it was pretty eloquent.

I am not gonna add a lot to it but i would like to put light on the issue that who is responsible for misinterpretation of Islam, either Muslims or non-Muslims. Non Muslims are responsible because they always keep on creating troubles for Muslims and they are not giving Muslims opportunities to grow.

But Muslims themselves are also responsible for misinterpreting Islam to an extent. We can exemplify it to make it rather clear. Our Mullahs keep on misguiding the Muslim ummah in a way or other by putting forward their doctrines. People use to follow these doctrines because they think that mullahs must know more about the religion than them. e.g population growth in Pakistan, misguiding religious principles, misconceptions about jihad, etc.

Muslims are putting back the pragmatic principles of Islam. They can answer back the non-Muslims if they ask something like they asked in the forth mentioned article, but Muslims are not comprehending that what actually their religion is and how they should follow it in a right and best way.

If Muslims follow their religion truly and have faith in it, then no doubt that their all problems would be solved and they will rule the world but its totally up to Muslims that what they do.

Lets hope for the best.
