Islam Invite to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided." Holy Qur'an 16:125

@kasimk: Dear brother, you must respect the Sacred Verses from the Holy Quran, yeh ayat kahan se nahi Quran se hein. If you are not accustomed to such kind of discussion then you should not have posted your comment. We are not here for a debate but we want to learn from each other which would broaden our knowledge. If you have some valid and logical arguments, you're welcome. But if you don't like such discussions then please get off from this thread and stay blessed.

Avoid use of "Netspeak" or other "cute" grammar or spelling (For example: writing "R U a woman?" instead of "Are You a woman?"). When one fullstop is enough to serve the purpose then there is no need to use many after every sentence. Read and Follow forum rules.

we created this country in the name of religion but never practised it. We are just using the name of Islam to fulfill our own desires. Halaal and Haram have nothing to do with us, its just whether we like it or not. How many are there who have read the Quran with meanings and how many offer Salah five times a day? We never find time to think about our mistakes but we always have time to discuss and criticise others. To me valentines day is not a problem it is a symptom of a great disease which is hypocracy....

Lightbulb No more Valentine celebtaion please !

AOA,

In Islam, the festivals are clearly defined and well established, and no additions or subtractions may be accepted. They are an essential part of our worship and there is no room for personal opinion. They have been prescribed for us by ALLAH TALA and HIS Messenger Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.W).

'For every nation We have ordained religious ceremonies which they must follow.'" [Quran 22:67]

Love in Islam is more general and more comprehensive; it is not restricted only to one kind of love, that between a man and a woman. There are many more kinds of love. There is the love of ALLAH TALA, love of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.W) and his companions (may ALLAH TALA be pleased with them) love for good and righteous people, love and support for the religion, love of martyrdom for the sake of ALLAH TALA, etc.

The celebration of Valentine;s especially among youngsters tradition reflects their insensitivity, indignity and ignorance of Islam..

Beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.W) said:

"If you don't have haya in you, then you're free to do whatever you like" (Sahi Bukhari)

May ALLAH TALA bestow HIS countless mercy and blessings upon all of us. Ameen sumamin.

Profound regards,
RMKamran.

Default One Hadith is Enough for Wise

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said:

“The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever imitates a people is one of them.’”

(Narrated by Abu Dawood, al-Libaas, 3512. Al-Albaani said in Saheeh Abi Dawood, (it is) hasan saheeh. No. 3401).
