Default Water Fuel Kit Project :Idea of Engineer Waqar Ahmad

We don't have scarcity of Brilliant Minds in Pakistan. What a creativity!

ISLAMABAD: A sub-committee of the Cabinet on Thursday reiterated the government’s commitment to support the Water Fuel Kit Project to tackle energy crisis in country.
The committee strongly encouraged the Water Fuel Kit Project, as the project designer presented a tremendous demonstration of car driving on the Water Fueling system.
The committee members highly appreciated the idea of Engineer Waqar Ahmad of introducing the Water Fueling system for automobiles in the country.
Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah, talking to media persons after having practical demonstration by Engineer Waqar, said that the government would provide full support to the Ministry of Science and Technology in the development of the system.
He asked the ministry and the Pakistan Engineering Council to float the feasibility of the project as soon as possible.
It is pertinent to mention that automobiles can be driven on Water Fueling system instead of consuming petrol or CNG fuels. Sukkur-based Engr Waqar had presented the idea before the Federal Religious Minister, who appreciated it and latter took it to the Cabinet, which made the sub-committee.
In today’s demonstration, the Federal Minister himself drove the car running on the water fuel.
Replying to a question, the minister maintained that the engineer would be provided with full security and the idea would also be kept secured.
The minister said that Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and Finance Minister Hafeez Sheikh had also highly valued the project.
“We own this project, we will provide full support and we are committed to successfully complete the project” said the minister.
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Mir Changez Khan Jamali, on the occasion expressed his pleasure and satisfaction over the idea.
He said the idea was a tremendous step towards a counter strategy to the prevailing energy crisis in the country.
“We are making an effort to complete all the remaining works by August 14 this year as we want to gift this project to the nation on Pakistan Day” he said, adding that in next two weeks all the on-ground tests and attached experiments would be completed.
He said that all the stakeholders were taken on board in the briefing and discussion on the project in which officials from Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), NUST, entrepreneurs from automobiles industry of Pakistan and researchers also took part.
It is interesting to note that the Water Fueling system is a very simple in technical nature in which ‘hydrogen bonding’ present in distilled water would be an acting agent as well as hydrogen gas to run the car engine.
Moreover, the whole system will be considerably cheaper than that of the present fueling system of CNG and petrol etc.
Federal Minister Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani also appreciated the successful demonstration and said that the talented engineer, his idea and properties would be protected and the government would support him.
He hoped that after final launching of the system in the market, Pakistan would be also able to export the technology.
Earlier, a comprehensive session took place in PEC where officials from PEC, NUST, and auto industry, and research scholars held a detailed discussion on the Water Fuel Kit Project, in which they shared their views with the cabinet members and Engr Waqar.
During the meeting Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira asked the participants to be positive towards the innovative idea and to have concrete discussion over the project.
Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi also attended the sub-committee meeting.

Thumbs down Good idea... To waste electricity and money.

It's a VERY VERY stupid idea! This is not the first time someone has come up with it. There's absolutely nothing creative about it because the internet is full of people who did this before him. What's more, I'll quote from Wikipedia here, "The claims for these devices have been found to be incorrect and some were found to be tied to investment frauds."

I'll explain you the science.

The energy from battery which is used to break H2O molecules will be equal to the energy released inside the engine.

H2O --> H2 + 1/2 (Electrolysis)
H2 + 1/2 --> H2O (Reaction in Engine)

The energy added in first reaction is equal to the energy released in the second reaction because both have equal bond energies.

So, essentially, the engine is run with battery. The water is just sort of a carrier for the energy. Petrol and diesel, no matter how expensive, are cheaper than a new battery every few days -_- What's more, because engines are low in efficiency, with each cycle, the recharge of battery will be lower.

The claim that you can make electricity is a total lie. An engine's efficiency is what, 40%? So if you put in say 100 Joules of energy from battery, your engine will only produce 40... Considering that those 100 Joules ARE electricity (Battery), it is a fine way to waste electricity.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_as_fuel

I don't doubt his demonstration. If some quasi-intelligent folks saw it, it probably works. The problem is that you can't replace petrol or diesel with water simply because the cost of battery will be too high. Nobody has asked Agha Waqar how many times he changes or charges his battery.

This just goes on to show the lack of knowledge, not just in our engineering students, but also of the big scientists that are supporting this.

Default An scientific overview of this sol called water drive car

First i must introduce my self , i am student of mechanical engineering GIK Institute,
having done some research in related area i can explain this in a little understandable way,
the internal combustion engine that we normally use in our cars, electricity generators etc, uses conventional fue gasoline, cng or any other hydrocarbon with small chain structure, what engine burns actually inside it is hydrogen when we burn hydrocarbons it simply burns hydrogen making water and carbon dioxide which are recived by environment from engine via emmision pipe,
so why burn hydrocarbons? ,, we can burn hydrogen instead to make exhaust free from carbon contents, the answers is we can,,, it it has been done by bmw in their hydrogen 7 model, i am not going in details of hydrogen 7 , you may google it to learn more,
coming back to the discussion is water powered car is possible,, allow me to correct our illiterate media and stupid scientists who call this car water powered instead it should be called hydrogen powered, since your not injecting water into engine your just ejecting hydrogen,,
so is it possible to run such cars on daily basis??
the answer is a big NOOOOOOOOOO...
why is that?
the reason behind this can be explained with some chemistry and engineering reasoning,,
first where do you get hydrogen from???
from hydrogen fuel cell which uses electricity to separate brown gas (hho) and oxygen, as this separation process is endothermic so it absorbs energy and when we burn this separated brown's gas in IC engine, it combines it with oxygen which is exothermic process, and as an engineering student i can say it with confidence that the enregy absobed by in ths process and then released can never be equal, and it would be impossible to say that the energy released by it is greater than absorbed,, we have one specific term for this type of concept called preptual motion machine,, meaning the efficiency is greater than 100%...
so if this is not possible to do it in daily life, than why America is spending billions of dollars on research based on fuel cells??
the answer is that the are trying to make a efficient hybrid using gasoline and hydrogen both in one car,
now a little info about hydrogen hybird cars,
hydrogen hybird cars are those which use hydrogen and conventional gasoline to power the engine, as mater of fact when the gasoline enters the IC engine it does not burns completely which results in great loss of fossil fuels, engineers and scientist from time to time have been devolping techniques to increase the fuel burning capacity of IC engines, they came up with idea of hydrogen hybird, which stats as if we inject hydrogen in a particular proportion to gasoline it can burn very efficiently increasing mileage upto 50%, becasue hydrogen flame is very efficient and can burn the fuel upto greater extent..
so is it possible to make a hydrogen hybird car or motorbike for daily use??
the answer is Big YESSSSSSSSS...
i would request the so called media persons and our scientist to have an habit of fact checking,, whatever my post says is not from my side,, i have done a thorough research on the topic... if you have any further question regarding this technology ,, u can contact me..

Default Hi brother

your article is very enlightening though, but I would like to remind you that all great technologies you find around yourself originated from the backyards of the inventors house. It is true that a good amount of scientific scrutiny is required to substantiate the validity of the technology but at same time we should be willing see if there is a plausibility in funding this technology.

Pakistan is very far away from scientific know-how; let us admit that first; and yet these few brave people are trying to pep-up their technology so that other scientifically inclined individuals like yourself may also make a mark in history not only for Pakistan but for the entire world.

Pakistan is a great nation but a truly un-integrated one. the best technology that we need to have is to integrate human resources into creating marvellous technologies to benefit mankind. if the aim is mankind then success is global. money always follows later on.

Thumbs down

Dr Atta ur Rahman has said "It's total nonsense"

He explained in detail why this invention was hoax in the Talat Show. By tomorrow, someone would have uploaded this episode on Youtube, please do watch it before passing any judgment.

Talat Hussain has once again risen up to the occasion. He is one fine journalist!

During the first meeting of the Sub-Committee constituted on this issue under Syed Khurshid Shah that was held in the Committee Room of Ministry of Science & Technology, some experts from GIKI were also called for an expert opinion. They considered the idea to be "infeasible". However, the Committee posited to further look into the matter before a final decision.

It was also agreed that if the Technology is found feasible, P&D and S&TR Divisions shall submit a PC-I for approval. The intended Development Project (Most probably a PSDP Project) shall be under PEC and shall be funded by Finance Division via MoST. As yet no activity is going on regarding this issue on files or in meetings. Let's see what happens in the next meeting.

Regards

Default He was safe until the urdu medi starting covering him

i have been explaining this phenomena to alot of people in connection to what mr. Aga waqar claimed, he is hoax and two days ago Wikipedia deleted his page on charges of being false claim and unauthentic data, may be no one believed me,, bcz i haven't published any research paper, but what Dr.Atta Rahman said, was crystal clear, he is a renowned scientist of Pakistan and having more than 654 research papers published.. its just very simple if u just read my article and watch the talat hussain's show featuring dr atta rahman and aga waqar....
after all this my friends from abroad were criticizing me of what the called stupid nation,, are that stupid really??? i dnt think so,, its just we start believing instantly on every thing without checking its credibility.. being an student of science and technology i am astonished to see such an hoax reach that much big height,,, we need to cover up our basics,,,
