Question MBA general or MBA finance ?

Assalam-O-Aalikum,

Dear guys I intend to do MBA, In shaa ALLAH TALA. I have done BBA (honors) in Finance. I want to specialize in the said discipline in MBA as well. I have two options n I am supposed to pursue with the one:

1. The first one is MBA finance (it's 1.5 years program and all the subjects are related to finance like accounting for managers, macro-economics, corporate finance, financials analysis for managers, derivative markets and in the end: securities and investment analysis, financial modeling and analysis will be taught in this discipline. There is no other subject of business administration offered in this discipline).

2. The second choice is that I do MBA general, (it's also 1.5 years program. It includes project management, strategy for successful business, quantitative and qualitative methods, world trade organization and globalization of business, managing change for organizational development and last two subjects of finance in the end).

The difference b/w both of them is that in MBA general, I will study said subjects of business administration and in the last semester, I will study two subjects of finance for specialization. N that of MBA finance, like I said earlier, I will study only finance related subjects.

P.S: Kindly suggest me what I do ??? Although I want to become a civil servant IAT; however, to be on safe side, one should look for other options as well. So, which MBA is the best for career opportunities ? I'm going to spend a lot of money for it, so it's wise to purse the best option. Seniors who are acquainted with experience must tell me. Your sincere and honest suggestion would be very helpful for me.

Thanking you,
Best regards.

you should go for MBA finance only if you have the required aptitude and will be able to survive in this cut throat competition...as ACCAs, ICMAs are usually preferred over MBAs (Finance) for the same jobs...
