English opens doors to the rest of the world and it is not only important for civil servants, but for everyone else in Pakistan. It's widely spoken and an international language, it's the language of education and business. It's the only common language which is mostly used to communicate globally, so there's no point in avoiding it, and it's a need of the time. Let's recall the fact that we are a developing country not a developed one, so if we stop learning it then how we would be able to interact with the rest of the world in order to deal our country affairs, and how we would be able to teach it to our successor generation, if we ourselves are not good at it. We need to recognize the importance of it otherwise we'll have to face consequences. And learning English doesn't make one less patriotic, less Pakistani, or less Islamic, it's just a language which will benefit us and prosper Pakistan, if we learn it.
