I am having problem writing Urdu, what do I do?
I figured out lately that I no longer am able to write Urdu properly like I used to write at college/school. It has been a long gap since I wrote something in it properly, and as far as the reading and listening are concerned then I'm good at them but when it comes to write something in Urdu, I become like a student of a 3rd grade. If I continues to be like that then I'm afraid that I won't be able to write even a word after a few years. What can possibly be done in order to improve it? Do I really need to improve it or not?

about Urdu writing
About improving Urdu writing just be careful about round letters like jeem-khey, seen-duad, aeen, ghaeen, quaf, lam and small yay. Make half moons. I mean make half moons with the bottom of these letters i.e. lower half of the letter below the line and it makes half moon or semicircle. The teeth close to each other and if dots properly placed it is all remarkably wonderful. If you try, I bet you will say thanks to me.

Pick up a 3rd grade Urdu textbook to start all over, or use online learning resources. To complement this learning, use YouTube videos to better understand writing in an interactive sense. Practice every single day, with the alphabet and then phrases, finally moving on to sentences!
It's a skill to be able to understand, read, write and speak a language - so there is definitely no harm in starting all over again to try and better your Urdu writing. Good luck! |

Try This!! May Be This Can Help
Try writing 1 page of urdu daily, you can take the daily newspaper and copy write it on the paper. If you forgot all the words and letters you can watch videos on youtube with urdu subtitles, also try downloading some software if you have computer or mobile like : urdu keyboard, Inpage 2012 or other popular urdu software. That's all what I did in my exams of intermediate.

Suggestion for strengthening your urdu
You should go to market as soon as possible. Bye Inshaiyas written by Dr. Wazir Agha. When you offer your maghrib prayer, simply lay down in your couch and start reading your first inshaiya. repeat the inshaya two or three time. Then take the pen and a sheet. Start writing the same inshaya in your own words. Try to recall the vocabulary you read in the inshaya, and try to make sentences in your own way. Do this practice every evening with a new inshaya. I assure you, you will be able to write a very good and comprehensive urdu essay with in 30 day. just try it.
