What's up with Punjabi stage dramas?
 

I googled the topic and didn't get anything more than IK got from USA. My query is, and I'm trying to understand, not point fingers or anything; what is up with the stage dramas having the dances and all? Wikipedia says the woman involved is immoral and is made the object of taunts and jibes; so that a moral to the storyline can be given. There has to be more to these stage dramas. Anyone share the insider scoop please?
