Default Tags

For the last few days ,tagging the posts has been increased on the forum. But I notice that some members are not so aware of its use; often they tag their posts with more than one irrelevant keyword including their name.Though this is not a big issue but they should be conscious of its proper use to bring the benefit.

Here's a quote from Wikipedia which elaborates the purpose of Tags:

Quote:
"Many blog systems allow authors to add free-form tags to a post, along with (or instead of) placing the post into categories. For example, a post may display that it has been tagged with baseball and tickets. Each of those tags is usually a web link leading to an index page listing all of the posts associated with that tag. The blog may have a sidebar listing all the tags in use on that blog, with each tag leading to an index page. To reclassify a post, an author edits its list of tags."
So what I comprehend is that the tags are for classifying the posts of similar kind. Now the use of our names for tags makes no sense as well as the terms like 'cssforum' (after all this is a cssforum). So we should be careful while tagging our posts because the forum is already categorized with subforums.

e.g.In the 'Current Affairs' or 'News & Articles' sub-forums ,there are lots of threads with same subject ,like NRO,NFC,Baluchistan Package, which are the hot topics these days. But there are no sub-forums for them ;so, if we tag these threads with the relevant term, it will be a great help for fellow members.Because when we'll click on a tag ,all the relevant posts on the same subject will come up.If a thread deals with more than one subjects then two or more relevant tags will do the job.

I hope ,it was all relevant.
