Sir I am trying my best for last many years for speaking English but I don’t know how I have not the power of speak English. Although I am student of MA ENG LITETATURE. I have gained 101 marks in BA ENG. But all of these my efforts I am unsuccessful. I spend mostly my time in reading English Books. Then why I can’t speak English. Sir I have a dream that I would speak English please help me for your suggestions.

For getting command on fluent English speaking you should speak in english with your class fellows and friends. The more you speak english they higher will be your command on speaking.

Think in english, make sentence in english don't try to translate urdu into english in your mind. Focus on english channels. Speak with yourself in english and participate in english debates and discussions.

Dear if u want to be a good orator then u should start speaking.coz regular speaking will help u and by this way u can hold strong command on spoken language.dear i will try to give u some suggestion to reach out u in this regard,coz i had the same problem.

1)Dear if u wana improve ur spoken skills then u have to take input that is listening,coz listening is an input for spoken.likewise, reading is an input for writing.
2)Speak no matter how much hard is that for u.
3)Speak wid someone in order to have discussion and learn more ideas wid others.
4)If there is no one speak wid ur own self i used to and now i feel that i have brought considerable change in my own spoken language .
5)when ever u are alone in ur room take any topic and then start speaking on that topic and keep on doing the same drill.
Inshallah u will hit the bull eye soon,but if u are committed and having workaholic spirit.

Here are some advices we were given by our PROF Jonathan IVY he was a lecturer at Warwick Business School.

During our MBA in Birmingham Business School he advised all the international students in the class who were having problems in speaking english or who were shy to speak english.

Stand infront of the mirror and talk to your own self. Ask yourself all the stupid questions in your mind and than try to answer them, while standing in front of the mirror. I personally tried it and it really works.

At least give a try!!!

Improve your reading and listening power, extract material from books and place it in your mind. Ask questions from yourself, discuss with yourself. write down your thoughts, ideas and then speak out, make an imaginary Friend for sharing ideas.........

None but a close friend can improve your english speaking skills. Pass arround 1 to 2 hours with him and discuss current issues in english. You will observe improvement within a week. Continue this schedule for as long as you can.

Same was the situation with me when i was in MA English
But the only solution to overcome the situation is speaking, speaking, speaking and speaking english
never mind how good you are just keep on seaking
and of course you need to develop your vocabulary to speak
and try to speak on informal communication
watch english movies, read paper nad build a firm habit of speaking english even to yourself

Here, you have commented that you lack in spoken English, so I am assuming that you are comparatively better on English Grammar & Composition skills.
1. Read, Read and Read.
2. Digest a daily newspaper preferably Dawn after your breakfast.
3. Buy some latest English Music DVDs stuff. Listen to songs in English.
3. Find some of your mates in college or in your locality who share your aim. Participate in mutual discussions in English.
4. Stop watching bollywood movies and switch to English movies, not only they will be beneficial for your spoken English but will render a positive impact on your thinking skills.
5. Make a nice personal collection of English literary books, that will not only add to your flavour for the language but also help you out in your MA Examination.
6. Discuss current affair issues in English with your friends.
7. Speak and make speeches in front of a mirror in isolation.
8. Join some spoken English course at a reputed institute, if the problem remains persistent. This will enable you to closely interact with the people who are a victim of the same problem.
