For blocking facebook for somedays, it is a way to raise our concerns about the defamation of the beloved holy prophet through paintings. The govt. is not doing any thing. We must have interfaith dialogues with the other religions' heads. Thanks to the Lhr high court for taking action to block FB. By not using FB for somedays, it will be a strong message for the owner of the site not to allow such competitions again on the website.

Lahore High Court has done the right thing by imposing a temporary ban on face book in Pakistan. But such bans are only symbolic acts. Muslim countries can only protest and can not do anything substantial. Such things should go unnoticed because these events dont deserve any attention, but we are ourselves making it an event by banning the website. Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) is such an exalted creature that no one can even dare bring his reputation into bad light. We people must follow the Holy Prophet's way of life. Even if garbage was thrown on the Holy Prophet ( P.B.U.H), he never complained about it because his mission was much greater than such petty issues.
@ Waqar Abro. Perhaps America is a villain and so it should never be thought of as a global power in a psotive sense? I mean we as a nation are in a habit of criticising America for our own problems and yet again we look for American dollars whenever we are in trouble. What was Faisal Shehzad trying to do in NewYork?

Dear Members,
I would like to have your suggestion/remarks and comments on Supreme Court Decision of "TEMPORARY BAN ON FACEBOOK TILL 31st MAY" Please Keep in Mind, This is just a sort of debate and discussion where we can see, in what way CSS Aspirants take such issues. Be respectful to each other remarks and comments. I would like to start with my opinion (First) Like every decision have its positive and negative impacts... I think Supreme Court this decision of Ban will support the western countries specially the YAHOODIs (Zionist) in their silent mission and aim. This is an international game played against Muslims. But I am not favoring this ban...as FACEBOOK administration could be forced to block those pages which showed the portraits of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.). That was best to develop a pressure against the western countries. At national Level, it was Government duty to stop and ban all international activities related to the country related to facebook administration. and blocking those pages... This is not new...why our Government was silent 7-8 years ago when Denmark published Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.) images etc. Why we the muslims were so silent.... and why such a swere reaction is showed now on facebook publicity ? I just want one thing....Government take action against such acts of western countries... and individual specially Youth should be guided positively in such matters....I am afraid....Youth is getting misguided. I just saw PU students remarks on TV and I am really worried they way, they could be used by the organizations who will just take advantage of such propaganda against Muslims....! Government should be active at once for immediate positive action against such acts. |

To ban the Face book is an appropriate step taken by Lahore High Court. If fb doesn't delete that particular group the government should ban it for lifetime. I think all Muslim countries should get united and raise their voice against this religious discrimination. I am a regular user of fb but if they don't ban or delete that i won't use it again.

Are we going to give importance to the events on Facebook?
They are playing with the sentiments of Muslims intentionally. Recent event on Facebook portrays their hatred against Islam and connected to their organized anti-Islamic campaign. Muslim should not be silent and record their protests to convey their feelings to respect the religious values of every religion not particularly Islam. Such things can’t be gone unnoticed because no one has the right to harm our religious feelings; we should stand united against such heinous acts and act practically. We have the opportunity to boycott it voluntarily to deprive them from revenue. Lahore High Court has ordered to block it in Pakistan and undoubtedly it is a great honor for judiciary. Let me recall the story of Ghazi Ilm Din Shaheed that whether these events carry importance or not. This post is also a reply to those who support to repeal the blasphemous laws in the country. 1920, India: Prashaad Prataab had authored an inflammatory book vilifying Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Rajpal was a Hindu book publisher from Lahore. He took the responsibility of publishing the book in 1923 and pledged not to disclose the author’s real name. Session Court sentence Rajpal. Subsequently Lahore High court gave leave to appeal on the grounds that on the basis of criticism against the religious leaders, no matter how immoral it is, is not covered by S.153 of the Indian Penal Code. Ilm Din was an illiterate teenager from Lahore. His father was a carpenter. On 6th September 1929 Ilm Deen set out for the bazaar and purchased a dagger for one rupee. The young man entered the shop of Rajpal, lunged forward and attacked him. He stabbed his dagger into the chest of Rajpal with such force that his heart was ripped from his body. Rajpal fell dead on the ground. Ilm Deen made no attempt to escape. The police arrested Ilm Deen and he was kept in Mianwali jail. The case went to court and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was his defence lawyer. Jinnah urged Ilm Din to enter a plea of not guilty plea and to say that he had acted due to extreme provocation. The fact that Ilm Din was only 19 years old would have also worked in his favour. Ilm Din refused to offer such a plea and insisted that he was proud of his actions. This case was the only one that Jinnah ever lost. The Session Court awarded Ilm Din the death penalty. Against his wishes, the Muslims lodged an appeal, but it was rejected. Ilm Din was executed and the Government buried him without Namaz Jenaza. After the protests of Muslims and assurance of Allama Iqbal his body was handed over to Muslims. When the body of Ilm Din was exhumed from its grave, it was found to be the intact without any change whatsoever. The kaffan (shroud) had not changed its colour. This occurred 15 days after the hanging. 200,000 Muslims attended the funeral prayer. Mawlana Zafar Ali Khan said ahead of the burial: "Alas! If only if I had managed to attain such a blessed status!" Allama Iqbal carried the funeral bier along its final journey. As Iqbal placed the body of Ilm Din into the grave, he tearfully declared: "This uneducated young man has surpassed us, the educated ones." The martyrdom of Ilm Din had far-reaching effecst. A provision was added to the Penal Code, making insult to the religious beliefs of any class an offense. Allama Iqbal’s proposal of a separate Muslim state in 1930 resulted in the creation of Pakistan in 1947. The Pakistan Penal Code makes it a crime for anyone who "by words or visible representation or by an imputation or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiled the name of the Muhammad". In 1982, President Zia ul-Haq introduced Section 295B to the Pakistan Penal Code punishing "defiling the Holy Qur'an" with life imprisonment. In 1986, Section 295C was introduced, mandating the death penalty for "use of derogatory remarks in respect of the Holy Prophet" in keeping Islam’s hudood (prescribed punishments). Ilm Din’s legacy is still visible across Pakistan, where parks, hospitals and roads carry his name.

What u pple think, un islam ke dumshmano ko ye andaza nahen tha ke temporary bycott hoga in muslim countries mein!!!!!!!!!!!!! ofcourse they were well aware of this… if we boycott the website for one or two days then how much loss would be there to those bitter enemies of Islam. I would say there would be no loss to them for this temporary boycott. There is reason, there are many Jews and other lobbies which are bitter enemies of Islam and those lobbies support morally and financially to such websites and individuals –ie that news reporter, for initiating such blasphemous things. And there purpose is to eliminate and demise muslims and for achieving this goal they would not care for such temporary financial losses.
Quran says that jews are bitter enemies of Islam. Wo log tu apnay na jaiz maqasid ke liyai financially aik dosray ko support kertay hain but we are millionaire and billionaire we don’t pay even Zakat for supporting our poor muslims. We must be carefull at this stage, otherwise they pple would be successful in their ill intensions. We have to take some actions collectively. 1) boycott such websites forever. I appreciate Shaa baz. Hadith mein he ke HUM MEIN SE KOI BHI TAB TAK MOMIN NAHEN HO SAKTA JUB TAK WO APNAY MAAN BAP SE ZIYADA NABI KAREEM (S.A.W) SAY PYAR NAHEN KERAIGA 2) boycott products of those countries forever, yes I admit that products of our muslim countries are not of that standard but those products are not sub-standard as wel and if lacking, this is the time we have to improve quality of our products 3) All the muslims must be united for this purpose, humain is maqsad ke liyai setcs mein taqseem nahen hona chahyai, we are muslims. aj hum jis maqam pe kharay hain wo bhi is liyai he ke we are divided in sects. Ager hum united hotay tu aj yai sab kuch na ho reha hota. . I appreaciate all of u who have participated in this thread, esp crown prince who have initiated this thread. PTA has blocked the website in Pakistan but I would say this website must be blocked in every muslim country forever So we have to bycott such website and goods of those countries forever so that permanent loss would b there to those bitter enemies of Islam. And this issue must be raised all over the world at every forum, ie uno, oic etc. PERMANENT SOLUTION OF THIS, IS ONLY POSSIBLE IF WE ARE UNITED AT ONE FORUM. regards

yes boycotting facebook is a good solution, perhaps for now.i will deactivate my account as soon i get a chance and never use facebook again.Facebook banned in only Punjab as LHC ordered its ban or is it banned in whole of Pakistan.
in Pakistan there are round about 40-50 million users of facebook and banning it or boycotting it for many days will hurt facebook. it will decrease their traffic by 8-10%. and they have to face it. but one thing i cannot understand, why Islamic governments don't give a solid answer to these people. every 3-4 months, they come up with this kind of mischief.can any govt. ,anyone give them a solid answer?can someone hack facebook if no govt can answer. muslims ;such in large number and deeply hurt by a single page about the most beloved personality can do anything to stop this act from happening on 20th may? i feel so helpless. this is not going to end here. there are certain elements on facebook who create controversies and soon publicise it and then everybody click on that page so this they earn more. is this all about money? they had done this activities in past and checked that no Islamic govt did anything. this give them more courage.secondly they saw Muslims reacting in their own countries, damaging their own countries.they do it again and again to provoke us.
