An event on Facebook has been announced on 20th May on the competition of drawing blasphemous cartoons of Prophet Muhammad Sallalaho Alaihe Wasallam, named as “Everybody-Draw-Mohammed-Day”
![]() Since the news about this event has been spread, people have instantly reacted with boycotting the most widely used social networking website, Facebook. Boycotting Facebook would certainly give them a big punch, as they’ll have to face heavy loss. But the question is that would this be enough to stop the crazy non-Muslims from doing this sort of insanity? They are using this very medium, the Facebook, to humiliate our beloved Prophet Muhammad Sallalaho Alaihe Wasallam. Wouldn’t that be more effective if we use this medium as well to tell them that we are peaceful and our Prophet Muhammad Sallalaho Alaihe Wassallam was the best man on the face of Earth? There are more than 1.8 billion Muslims around the world. Among them, millions use Facebook. Even if 10% of those Muslim Facebook users react more effectively and update their status with hadiths (translated in English) of Prophet Muhammad Sallalaho Alaihe Wasallam, before boycotting it, then it would not only show the unity of Muslims, but also let people know who Prophet Muhammad Sallalaho Alaihe Wasallam actually was. A loss of one or two day boycott is perhaps bearable for Facebook. But using the same medium to spread the truth in an effective manner might push the blasphemous activists on the back foot and might make them realize that those who are non-peaceful are not representing Islam. This is very unfortunate that we, the Muslims, have been very under-developed. That is why we have to face this sort of situation every now and then. Sometimes it is a Danish newspaper doing this crazy stuff and we have to boycott Danish products. Sometimes it is the Facebook and we have to boycott the Facebook. Isn’t there any possibility that we don’t even need to use Danish products or use Facebook or any such blasphemous thing? Can’t we produce and develop any such thing in our own country? Whenever we face such situation, we find ourselves nowhere. Most of the products we are bound to use in our daily life are made by Uniliver. Soaps, detergents, shampoos, tea, toothpastes, beverages, and many many food products are all made by this multinational company of Dutch orientation. If we boycott them, what would we do? Do we have any production of such things of any good standard in our own country? No, we don’t. This is exactly what we lack. This is exactly why we are still underdeveloped and a third world country. It’s no matter if we have food only once in a day, but that should totally be indigenous. We have to rise up and fight back in a more effective, peaceful, and perpetual way. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has banned ‘Draw Muhammad Day’ fanpage and now it can’t be opened in Pakistan.Good sign by the government of Pakistan for taking this decision but we need to do more, we have to tell them ( the EXTREMIST non-muslims) that we, Muslims, are all followers and lovers of our Prophet Muhammad Sallalaho Alaihe Wasallam and we WILL spread the teachings of Muhammad Sallalaho Alaihe Wasallam on 20th May…we will celebrate 20th May as THE MUHAMMAD (S.A.W.W) DAY. ![]() We as a Muslim be united and face these evils and boycott extremist facebook forever or until they never repeat such a shameful act. They are far more ahead of Taliban and Al-Qaeda in terrorism and extremism.

so what will happen if all the leaders of Muslim world withdraw their trillions of dollars worth financial bills/securities/stocks which is either the product of oil wealth or loot and plunder from the countries like Pakistan lying stagnant in their banks which they use as the life blood of their economy.
so why shouldnt muslim masses first wage war against such a few thousand elite in first place ?? i know you would come up with many weird explanations and i can still knock the bottom of them but i dont have time to. i for one will always use Facebook as it is the marvel and great boon of communication with all my wonderful friends from across the whole world. Moreover, herein I don't expect any support from Govt.s of different Islamic countries. What can we do that is the core topic and we can deprive Facebook from their revenue and cause for economic loss, that is practicable, nonviolent and in our hands.
I've much time for this topic even to set aside the most important matter.

according to my point of view bycote is only one option to solve this problem.
when we go back two years we see that telenor copmany (nowrvy base) is bycooted by pakistani nation. within 15 days telenor customer and profit reduce 50% after this prime miniser of norway say sorry and give his comments that norway gove not involve in this case. similarly after bycotting facebook mangment will never try to similarly act

LAHORE, May 18: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday issued notice to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on a petition seeking ban on Facebook, an international social networking website, in the country for holding a blasphemous competition of drawing caricatures of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry issued notice for Wednesday (today) on the petition filed by Ch Zulfikar advocate of Islamic Lawyers Forum. The petitioner-lawyer submitted that on the Facebook a competition was announced on April 20 last, which would continue till May 20. He said in the competition the members of the website were invited to draw caricatures of the Holy Prophet. He said Article 2-A of the Constitution restricted any practice against the religion in the country. He said the website having various features against the injunctions of Islam had already been banned in various Islamic countries. He pointed out that China, United Arab Emirates, Iran and Saudi Arabia had already imposed a ban on the website. The lawyer said the PTA had already blocked various blasphemous and contemptuous websites in the country but was reluctant to ban Facebook. He sought directions for PTA to put an immediate ban on the use of Facebook in Pakistan. http://currentsocial.com/ban-on-face...igh-court.html

19 May 2010 Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday ordered to block Facebook till May 31 which encourages members to draw Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) caricatures. Justice Ejaz Chaudhry said that the government should record its protest at international level.
Hearing a petition regarding blasphemous page on Facebook, Chaudhry Zulfiqar Advocate said that Facebook hurt the emotions of Muslims with the publication of said page about blasphemous caricatures but the government became a silent spectator. Deputy Attorney General Naveed Inayat Malim said that PTA has blocked the blasphemous link of Facebook. Director Telecom Mudassar Hussain said that there would be great loss after the complete closure of Facebook. Lawyers and civil society representatives protested the statement of Director Telecom. The government yesterday had directed the PTA on the orders of LHC to block the blasphemous caricatures link on Facebook. After the directive, the PTA took necessary steps and blocked the link on Facebook. http://thecurrentaffairs.com/faceboo...rt-orders.html
