Default If earth rotates on its own axis slowly, what would happen?

If earth rotates on its own axis slowly (say half speed ) what would happen?
i think the possible changes would be

A day will be of 48 hours life on earth willl be disturbed
atmosphere will be vanished in polar regions ( lack of oxygen to breathe)
water in oceans will gradually move towards poles.
continents will appear in on equator and vanish from the poles ( may be an equatorial continents with only 2 oceans .)
due to lesser spin of earth the iron core inside earth will produce less magnetic field and more solar radiation will blast through the magnetosphere causing solar radiations and ultimately we all can die.

please add some more points in this disscussion

dear it is imposible, earth rotation speed is uniform.

@sadat. Bear has mentioned here a condition IF though the speed is uniform.

lets tk it other way.. wt if earth starts spinning faster, say double of its speed, at its axis..?? wt will be the result..?!! well well simply it must take 12 hrs then to complete its one spin at its axis..
does it really matter anything.. well yes sudden chng in speed of rotation would obviously matter bt if its speed is such faster then it would be a usual for life n system tht prevails on the earth.
earth n other planets revolve around sun along their specified orbits.. all those planets need to be spinning around their axis to have forward movement along their orbit in order to complete the revolution. some planets are bigger n others smaller.. those who are bigger they tk longer earth time, around 26 to 40 earth hours, to complete one spin around their axis tht means their day is of 26 to 40 earth hours.. in the same manner if earth starts rotating faster or slower around its axis, day would be either smaller or greater than present day earth hours, however, it never mean earth would start rotating faster along its orbit.. no but haha thts funny... well i guess i should then revolve faster or slower along its orbit as well, oop tht would certainly devastate the whole solar system because wt i kno all planets move at uniform speed along their orbits..
God is great architect.. He certainly has done wts the most feasible for our earth n whole solar system.. small days or longer ones must hv wrond impact on lives n environment thts why present day system bn prevailing.. lets leave it the way it is... hehe i am exausted.. cant realy measure as to wt can b the consequences after such an above suppostion.. haha thts funny!

Faster OR Slower both will be an aberration from the normal uniform spin and one day this very planet will have to die.
But brother
"Tidal locking" can play a part in slowing down earth's rotational speed on its axis
the moon is already synchronized with the earth . in the same way Tidal acceleration (gravitational gradient) may alter the axial speed of earth .( slow it down) and one day will be of 28 earth days approx.

mean solar day =86400 seconds
Atomic Time (SI caesium clocks) and Ephemeris Time (astronomically measured) are changing which is a deviation from the standard .

hence the mean solar day is increasing thats why we use leap seconds to adjust the clocks. (UTC)

its a gradual and slow process. dont worry the slowdown of the Earth's rotational speed is not occurring fast enough .

and secondly, we cannot stop or change this . what we can do is to watch and observe not alter His decisions .
beshak tamam ilm Allah kay pass hai aur us kay raz kisai ko pata nahin chal saktay laikin sochnay par pabandi nai hai meray bhai.
