I am currently serving in BS-17 and my starting basic pay was 16000 rupees, annual increment is 1200 rupees, medical allowance 15% of 9850 (old basic pay), conveyance allowance 5000 rupees, house rent 4432 (45% of old basic pay), plus some adhoc allowances.....
While pay of SPS-8 is already explained by our brother..

what is the starting salaray of sps-8(technical) now-a-days??
Seniors help please
please also mention the net payable money for the said scale after deductions(tax, funds etc)

Basic pay of sps-8 22,900...
Gross pay....67000 (this figure is excluding housing subsidy which if availed will further add 13000 incase of big city to this figure)
At gross pay of 56000 deductions in lieu of tax,F.E.B.F etc are 1500...
The pay scale is not revised since 2008 and there is a proposal to raise it from 22,900 to 28000 for SPS-8 by jan 2014...
About BPS i have no idea

I have received apointment letter from mtc(nescom) for the post of asistant manager(electrical)
it says
salary:20500-1200-44500
allownces: as per rules
what does this mean brother...
Wil i be getting some thing more than 44500?
There is also one year probation period
sir please guide me a little more...

sir...
Also i am posted at a far-away location from my home-town
so i wil have to take 10-15 days laeave to visit my home.
Sir are such consective casual leaves possible 2-3 times per year?

Well it means your initial basic pay will be Rs.20,500/- and annual increment will be of Rs. 1200/. Besides this you will have allowances i.e. Adhoc Allowances (of 2010, 2011, 2012), Conveyance allowance, Medical allowance, House rent allowance, Two technical allowances, staff subsidy allowance, NCA service allowance. Moreover, there will be G.P fund contribution and some other funds cutting. So do not worry about the pay, plus once you get married, you will get hiring.
You will have 20 casual leaves per year and 4 earned leaves per month.

How much you are getting in total for that pay scale (20500-1200-44500) ???

I just gave a test for the post of Assistant Manager , in the same pay scale

Aoa brother,

I read the thread regarding SPS - 8 and which was really helpful. Can anyone please confirm me what would be basic to gross pay for SPS - 7 and secondly what would be promotion chances at PAEC (in respect of time period). One more thing, the position is for Jr. Executive so what would be hierarchical level from Jr. executive to Assistant manager.

for sps 7 it would be 50k+. promotion chances depend on performance and also salary increments will be very reasoanable so dont worry about it.
