Comments and personal observations on the article "the malala effect" dawn
The author is a student of Mass communication in SOUTH ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY at CARBONDALE,US. It is a confused effort of attempting a serious subject of terrorism and counter terrorism while sitting at such a far distance. The venue is totally fogged by the papers write ups moving through the narrow alley with the shutdown mind set.It is single-handedly attempting to criticize the security forces operation which the author has no knowledge being totally detached from the atmosphere. The author has forgotten that people haling from the tribal belts are traditionally against the education of female folk. They have their own set rules hence hardly accepts the liberal wind, like they don't agree to the polio operation therefore have killed many innocent souls even the women sacrificing their lives.Author has all along shown the defeatist mentality without getting acclimatized to the hostile situation in Pakistan especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The sacrifice given by Malala yousafzai is an unparallel stand which has become a milestone for the younger generation to proceed for education in all the adverse circumstances,if the schools are not named after the gallant girl then it would be success on the part of Taliban and will recede the momentum of learning,if not appreciated well. The idea of leaving the less threatened areas was only secure the civilians from friendly fire against the militants who had sought protection in the garb of human shield. The author believes in stammering before the Taliban s to revise an official policy by him which does not exist on ground, However this only meant to remain apologetic and withdraw where the Talibans are in position. There is no guard against a man who is negatively motivated to strike and carry out a suicidal mission. The author must understand that Talibans are diseased group of people who don't hesitate to butcher the innocent people when offering prayers in the mosques which are never occupied by the security forces and attack innocent women carrying polio injections to save children for becoming lame where as these squads are not led by the security forces. The mettle and the sacrifices offered by security forces are commendable, their graph of success displayed by the security forces is unmatchable when comparing it with the results of the allied forces deployed in Afghanistan, last but not least let not the children learn a lesson from the author to walk on the knees but to stand on their feet.

Dear the article " the malala effect" is personal opinion of the concerned author.
Writer has not studied the whole scenario deeply. Security forces has left no stone unturned in eliminating terrorism. But we have to eliminate the causes i n fact the root causes of this problem. I respect your opinion but let me clear that you mentioned that people in Tribal areas are against the women education that's why malala was attacked. Actually Malala is not from tribal area, she is from swat which was the second most developed area in KPK after peshawar before talibanisation. you said that polio teams were attacked only in KPK but these teams were attacked in Karachi as well. Shortly, its not the problem of tribal areas or KPK, its the problem of whole country. |

I see you the same way you see the author of Malala Effect since I belong to a tribal area. Let me tell you the ground realities. 1- Here is the Poverty...... the main reason for not allowing females to schools by their familes. Even, boys are denied if poverty is severe. I witnessed. Hunger for food wins. You may not know one of the polio vacination team killed was a 14 year old girl who had been supposed to go to school but hadn't only to earn Rs.350/- per day. Others? You are supposed to know them. 2- Americaphobia....... America has brought nothing but badluck for the people of this region for last 35 years... which impersonate an equation America=Hate, further add "supported" equation becomes America supported=Hate supported.... in case of malala, you should be intellegent enough to deduct. To your surprise, the attacks on mosques, women etc are perceived to be AmericaSupported yet TTP accepts responsibility. 3- Hard Headed....... Intrestingly to you, if you request a tribesman for something, he may give you everything but he may not give you his wrist watch even on gun point. They never accept impositions. They prefer death. You may be afraid of death, they are not. I still respect and appreciate your opinion as it explains your proximity to ground realities. Dear Huma thanks for your comments.I was enlightened to read the comments from the daughter of the soil. You are absolutely right that poverty has the acidic qualities which burns everything like Imaan, steadfastness, culture, values, relationships and religion. Most of the factors have been covered except the few which i would like to elaborate as follows:
1. Tlibans are also not fighting for safety of Islam, rather they are being funded and supported by Americans at that end also-covertly 2. Different factions of Taliban have vested interest. 3. On the security forces side also they are being helped and supported by Americans-overtly. 4. Mind you, there are Hindus sent by the RAW of INDIA in the garb of Muslims are in motion inducted in the Talibans. Some of the dead bodies found by the security forces were without circumcision and those were stinking badly. 5.Indians and Americans are having feast on the deaths of Taliban or the security forces because on both sides so called a Muslim dies. 6. It is not a sense of pride on the part of Taliban to be a hard nut but there were also good Talibans in Afghanistan who had converted a journalist to a Muslim. She admitidly told the media of the world that i would like to remain a prisoner of Taliban because its such a class which had never looked at me since my abduction till freedom. They are so handsome having blue eyes yet lowered, gazing on ground and talking softly O sister here is a food for you and water. The newsman outside expected a wrath against Islam and Taliban, but she had converted her soul to be a slave of Islam. Her name is Evan Rindley now Mariyam. With due respect and regards i would like to gather a courage to say that you have not touched the tinge of wind of a tribal area may be your ancestors are hailing from that and you having tales from them.It seems that you lived in the urban area since your birth,Because the Talibans or tribes are not fighting to eliminate poverty but dying for money as bitten by the lust and greed.Islam teaches us to die of hunger rather than to live on loaf of bread thrown by Americans. your sister
