Guide Me about Eesvi, Hijri, Sadee etc
 

Hello everybody

I am having confusion in understanding the different modes of mentioning dates even in making sense out of it.
Somebody plz tell how to undertand the Dates in Hijri n Sadee and Eesvi etc or give me link from where I could develop this concept.

well here is the answer in which i ll try to make sense out of it..lol(pardon in case of any mistake)
1.eesvi refers to the christian calender...in chrstian calender there r only two periods i.e one before CHRIST(before birth of HAZRAT ESA A.S) and one after CHRIST(after death of HAZRAT ESA A.S) and in urdu referred to as qabal az eesvi nd bad az eesvi respectively

2.hijri refers to the islamic calender...in muslim calender also there are two periods i.e one before hijrat of HAZRAT MUHAMMAD S.A.A.W.W to madina and one after hijrat which in urdu r referred to as qabal hijri (10 qabal hijri etc) and bad az hijri respectively

3.sadee is a period of one hundred year

@mjkhan dear thanks for response, that I know that sadee means one hundred years but I cannot express one date in different modes of dates.
Lets put it another way.

Suppose there is a date i,e. 571 A.D. (The Birthday of our Holy Prophet SAWW).

Now you tell me, does it mean five hundred and seventy one years after the death of Hazrat Eesa A.S?
whereas In my knowledge MUHAMMAD (SAWW) was sent to the world after the death of Hazrat Eesa A.S, 2500 years later. Then why it is written as 571 A.D ?
This is what I want to understand...

WHY U all people r using the term death with HAzrat ESA A.S ?

AS per my knowlege HAzrat ESA A.S had nOt died ,He is Alive !


A.D = Anno domini (in the year OF Lord), AD 1 is preceded by 1 BC. There is no year "0" between them .The calendar era to which they refer is based on the traditionally reckoned year of the conception or birth of Jesus of Nazareth.

@farqaleet...yes according to our belief ESA A.S had nt died
i ws just xplaining the term as used,(it may nt be in accordance with our belief cz this term(A.D)is developed by christians) in case i m correct...
nd yes it may be anno domini cz i think i hve heard it somewhere nd if this is correct then i m really sorry to mr. adnan

No need to be sorry we are here to learn and during the learning process mistakes are common if not necessary, anyways this is true that A.D stands for Anno Domini.
And its also true that Eesa A.S is alive we should have differentiated between it.
But Still I am not sure whether the Span of time Was 571 years or not, @mjkhan r u sure about it?
