Plz.Guide about selection criteria by FPSC,
Seniors,i would be thankful to u if you can kindly guide me about the selection criteria by FPSC.Actully,I fall among the candidates pre-selected for the post of Research officer/Planning officer (B-17) (Economist Group) in planning & development division. There are 5 posts (Merit:1,Punjab: 2,Sindh urban :1,Balouchistan: 1).Total 17 candidates have ben pre selected for interview,10 among of them belong to Punjab including me.Now i want to ask whether all the candidates ,pre selected, have equal probability in interview of being selected or their score in written test will matter too?Whether academic background will affect or not?I also want to know that the interviews may be conducted by FPSC

i- In FPSC interviews , your academic background/education does not nessecarily matters rather your performance in interview matter a lot.
ii- Similarly, if FPSC advertsed Masters as eligibility condition, it does'nt mean that they will be preferring a candidate with M.Phil degree. iii- As regards conduction of interview, yes FPSC conducts interviews through a panel, which normaly comprises 2 FPSC Members and 1 representative of that department, which in your case will be P&D. In light of above, you should work hard for your interview instead of thinking for any other things. Good luck.

Dear not necessarily, during interview no extra marks for higher studies are given rather ones suitabilty/performance viz-a-viz nature of job is normally accessed. And if one performs good in interview thn he will be given weightage.

Dear can you please guide how the interview marks are distributed among the panel comprising of member and departmental representative?
secondly, do they prefer/or have extra marks for the candidates who is already working in the same department/ministry for which the interview is being conducted?
