Current affairs in pretext of cricket match!
I have tried drawing a mental image of what I have been hearing or seeing about Pakistan everyday, This is what I think an average Pakistani feels today. I hope u and others can capture (envision) my picture and can relate to it.
A 5-day test match is being played by the green team against its most bitter rival in cricket, the blue team. Both the Indian batsmen continue to play second innings where they left off yesterday. This is unlike any match ever played before between these 2; conditions set are unreal and the umpire on the ground seems to be an extended family member of the blue team . Pakistan has been un-relentlessly bowling all day long , hoping to get a wicket, tried all the tricks that it had up his sleeve ('dosra', 'teesra') but to the bowlers dismay not a single easy catch was to b taken to change the fate of the game, even the most dependable wicket keeper could not be seen in form during the match. Its heart wrenching to see runs being 'punched' by the 2 batsman in blue to an unchase-able target. Both batsman, passing their grins at each other fiendishly. Still hours are left on the watch for the 4th day to end in grim situation and no act is bringing hope back in to the game. I know khair is expected to be on our side at the end of the day but in reality, one can only expect unforeseen circumstances to take place to save us from this fifth and final day which would seem to last an eternity hint: bowler = army wicket keeper = SC Umpire = rest of the world fielders = different insitutions of Pk (NAB, Nacta, ATA, Media, etc) I hope nobody is offended by it. please show no hard feelings. |
