NTS: Why should we pay every time for each job..?
Aslaamoalaikum,
I would like to draw the attention of all members here including seniors, juniors and CSP Officers that why should we pay NTS Rs. 800, Rs. 600 or Rs. 500 every time for each job....?? They should know that many of the people applying for such jobs are unemployed and they can’t afford to pay such amount every time when probability of getting these jobs is quite low with few limited seats for each job. Is there no one who can take action against these NTS people/management...?? Why everyone is quite and noiseless over this issue...?? Why should an unemployed guy pay for these jobs every time...?? Please raise your voice..!! Thanks GJB |

And for that they are taking Rs. 800 from unemployed students. They should ask companies for whom they are conducting these tests to pay to them; as such cost is included in their hiring expense.

I completely agree with you people. Rs. 800 & 600 is too much for a test. most of the population of Pakistan can't afford this amount. This is totally unjustified when private organizations, whose only aim is to make profit, can afford their recruitment process and don't charge the students (MCB, TCS) while the Govt. organizations, that are funded by our taxes are charging as much as Rs. 800 for a job.

I completely endorse Jaffer Bhutto's views. Employers have made this a business nowadays. Now, they ask for fees before even short listing the candidates.
This is really ridiculous. They earn more through these means rather than the cost incurred on conducting the actual test. It looks like this has become a money minting trend now. We should register our protest through any viable means. (i.e Newspaper, online blog, social media etc). Not everyone can afford to pay such high test fees, and we have to break this trend before it takes the shape of a monopoly or a cartel. |

When you apply for different universities then they also charge you for aptitude tests. Plus last time an attractive organization decided to bear NTS charges themselves was NAB in summer 2012. Turn out for that test was like 12-15000 candidates all over pakistan. That is like around 10 million Pak Rupees. So I really dont think that organizations can afford that. Plus I remember that many candidates who appeared in NAB test were not even eligible for the post but still applied because test was free.
I think 800 that they charged for state bank tests was un reasonable but 500 is fine. However I personally believe that best method for NTS will be to charge 1000 per candidate for an annual test conducted by NTS. Score of that test should be valid for one year and candidates can put it in their resume while applying at Pakistani organizations. |

Rs.800, 700, or even 500 cannot be acceptable.
Paying upfront fee for a university admission is acceptable because it's the applicant who will be benefiting from organization, you pay to get education and it works that way around the world. Paying for employment is like hanging a victim. It is simply not acceptable. People, we cannot compromise on our rights. I don't know why some here are suggesting a lower fee, rather we should be demanding TA/DA for those making it to final stage of selection process. Back in 2011 and before, NTS test for employment was free and TA/DA was a fashion. Organizations contracting NTS have huge budgets, and I don't think well-working Human Resource Departments take a lion's share. |

No sir I dont agree with you. If you make all tests free then it will cost organizations 10 million per recruitment test, which is way too much for a recruitment test. In that case, soon they will decide to screen out candidates on basis of CGPA or academic degree so that turn out is not huge. For eg only MBA with CGPA of 3.5 can apply. Then again candidates will be crying on forums saying this is unfair. Please refer to TCS MT thread on this forum and you will see what I am talking about. Again thousands applied for the post and TCS decided to use some sort of screening out method, after which many candidates dont even have their name in NTS test list.
So I think 800 is not a big deal and if candidate is really smart and deserving then he/she should clear the test. |
