ISLAMABAD: The PML-N government on Thursday imposed an immediate ban on all recruitments in the federal government besides seeking a review of all appointments made during the last five years in violation of policy and principles laid down by the superior courts, writes Ansar Abbasi. The Establishment Division was conveyed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s order on Thursday to put an immediate ban on “all recruitment in Federal Ministries/Divisions/Autonomous Bodies/Corporations”.
The prime minister also sought details of all the appointments made during the last five years where any of the guiding principles laid down regarding employment in public sector through judgments of the superior courts had not been followed. According to the official communication, it was brought to the notice of the prime minister that certain ministries, divisions, autonomous bodies and corporations were continuing with the recruitment process at various levels in spite of the fact that a clear statement of the government on no further expansion in the size of the government had already been made. The question is to the members is that will there be a ban on the recruitment by Services Commission like FPSC, PPSC etc. through this order also or these are only for the departments or ministries which do directly recruitment. |

Dear as you see in this news it is only written ban on recruitments in federal government jobs, but I am also in suspicion will this ban be followed on service commission jobs. Few days back I read somewhere that ban will not be imposed on jobs by Judiciary, Police and Health departments. Wait some senior will comment and will share some authentic information.

According to Finance Ministry statement, new appointments, at all government departments operating under federal government, have been banned for an indefinite period.
He said that new appointments will only be made at those government offices whereat vacancies have already been advertised in various newspapers or vacancies’ placement is under process.
