Have somebody noticed change in Karachi after the appointment of Shahid Hayat khan as Add. DIG of Police ? The mafia that has made hostage the city on gun-point since last three decades is on the run:0

It proves once again that Pakistan is not short of talent, and if right man is appointed at the right place, the country can become peaceful again. His bravery and planning has forced the criminals to leave the city and has won the hearts of karachi population within a week.

We need some more like him in other fields as well and then nobody can stop Pakistan becoming an Asian Tiger.

undoubtedly the action taken on the part of shahid hayat sahb is the message of courage that has delivered the hope into the hearts of karachiats. few more officers are needed by this city to mitigate the mafia's influence out of the citizens of karachi.

Yeah Pakistan has ample talent in every field if it is properly utilized without any nepotism and political interference Pakistan will be a paradise on earth :)

Long live Pakistan

This is the hard fact that our bureaucracy is polluted and corrupt. Posting and transfers are made in personal interest and not in the public interest. Many such heroes are serving in Pakistan.

Talent is not utilized as it should be. Specialist Employees are often victimized and punished by higher authorities for a petty issue or a little mistake as a revenge. A highhanded but less competent officer never accepts a talented junior officer under his command so he would post him out for the sake of his so called Honour and Dignity and would compromise the interest of public & the nation for his personal likings.

The history has seen some very capable people serving at the right posts and slots have been transferred from there just due to personal biases. A stroke of pen often falls too heavy for the nation.

Career progression and grooming has not found its ways in Pakistani bureaucracy as it should have.


When a foreign course on Anti-Terrorism or such like subject is offered, every officer tries to get selected for the course and would prepare himself for the interview very seriously because it is a foreign course. Once he returns after attending the course from abroad, he would place an application for posting to his native city on compassionate grounds that his mother / father is ill or due to children and any other unavoidable circumstances so that he is not transferred to some hard area where that course could have been utilized. Sometimes, administration never thinks on these lines to post such officers on such slots after course.

On the other hand many scientists and specialists who were best serving their nation on some posts were posted to those slots about which they knew nothing and were not recruited for that.

These bureaucratic ways should be abolished now.

Well done Sindh Government for posting such competent officer and maintaining him as police chief despite all the criticism

of course talent justifies its status in mind and hearts ,but origin of talent in case of country goes to leadership plan and dedication toward this plan . All locks of a chain are to work and strengthen each other . Csp's are always talented but it depends on rulers how they utilize them for main cause .

He is just obeying orders. Shahid Hayat could have been posted earlier in karachi but he wasn't "needed" at that time. Now he is. So, he will remain there as long as he is serving the purpose. After that, someone else will replace him whom the "city of karachi" needs.
