dekh hamaray maathey per yeh dasht-e-talab ki dhool miyan
hum say ajab tera dard ka naata, dekh hamain mat bhool miyan

ahl-e-wafa say baat na karna, ho ga tera usool miyan
hum kion chorain un galiyon kay phairon ka mamool miyan

younhi tou nahin dasht main ponchay, younhi tou nahin jog liya
basti basti kantay dekhay, jungle jungle phool miyan

yeh tou kaho kabhi ishq kiya hai, jug main howay ho ruswaa bhi??
iss kay siwa hum kuch bhi na poochaib, baaqi baat fazool miyan

nasb karain mehraab-e-tamanna, deeda-o-dil ko farsh karain
suntay hain woh kooy-e-wafa main aaj karain gay nazool miyan

sun tou liya kisi naar ki khatri, kata koh, nikaali nehar
aik zara say qissay ko ab detay kion ho tool miyan

khailnay dain inheen ishq ki baazi, khailain gay tou seekhain gay
qais ki ya farhaad ki khatir kholain kya school miyan?

ab tou hamain manzoor hai yeh bhi, shehar say niklain rusva hon
tujh ko dekha batain kar leen, mehnat hoii vasool miyan

insha ji kya uzar hai tum ko? naqd-e-dil-o-jaan nazar karo
roop nagar kay naakay per yeh lagta hai mehsool miyan
