ﮨﺎﺗﮫ ﺁﯾﺎ ﻧﮩﯿﮟ ﮐﭽﮫ ﺭﺍﺕ ﮐﯽ ﺩﻟﺪﻝ ﮐﮯ ﺳِﻮﺍ

ﻭﮦ ﺗﺠﻠﯽ ﮐﯽ ﺷﻌﺎﺋﯿﮟ ﺗﮭﯿﮟ ﮐﮧ ﺟﻠﺘﮯ ﮨﻮﺋﮯ ﺗِﯿﺮ

آخر وہ میرے قد کی بھی حد سے گزر گیا



آخر وہ میرے قد کی بھی حد سے گزر گیا
کل شام میں تو اپنے ہی سائے سے ڈر گیا

مٹھی میں بند کیا ہوا بچوں کے کھیل میں
جگنو کے ساتھ اس کا اجالا بھی مر گیا

کچھ ہی برس کے بعد تو اس سے ملا تھا میں
دیکھا جو میرا عکس تو آئینہ ڈر گیا

ایسا نہیں کہ غم نے بڑھا لی ہو اپنی عمر
موسم خوشی کا وقت سے پہلے گزر گیا

لکھنا مرے مزار کے کتبے پہ یہ حروف
"مرحوم زندگی کی حراست میں مر گیا"
