يہ گنبد مينائی ، يہ عالم تنہائی
مجھ کو تو ڈراتی ہے اس دشت کی پہنائی
بھٹکا ہوا راہی ميں ، بھٹکا ہوا راہی تو
منزل ہے کہاں تيری اے لالۂ صحرائی
خالی ہے کليموں سے يہ کوہ و کمر ورنہ
تو شعلۂ سينائی ، ميں شعلۂ سينائی!
تو شاخ سے کيوں پھوٹا ، ميں شاخ سے کيوں ٹوٹا
اک جذبۂ پيدائی ، اک لذت يکتائی
غواص محبت کا اللہ نگہباں ہو
ہر قطرۂ دريا ميں دريا کی ہے گہرائی
اس موج کے ماتم ميں روتی ہے بھنور کی آنکھ
دريا سے اٹھی ليکن ساحل سے نہ ٹکرائی
ہے گرمی آدم سے ہنگامۂ عالم گرم
سورج بھی تماشائی ، تارے بھی تماشائی
اے باد بيابانی! مجھ کو بھی عنايت ہو
خاموشی و دل سوزی ، سرمستی و رعنائی
