دل مرا مائل بہت تھا مسکرانے کے لیے
بس تبھی رقع ملا محفل میں آنے کے لیے

مر کے بھی زندہ رہیگا وہ زمانے کے لیے
سرکٹا سکتا ہو جو حق کو بچانے کے لیے

میرے شجرہ میں نہیں بغضِ علی والا کوئی
یہ شرف کیا کم ہے مجھکو بخش وانے کے لیے

مل گیا تھا اے نبی پیغام جو روزِ ازل
عام کر دو آج وہ سارے زمانے کے لیے

کلمۂ توحید بن عشقِ علی کافی نہیں
حبِّ حیدر چاہیے جنّت میں جانے کے لیے

طالبِ بیعت کو خالی ہاتھ ملتا دیکھ کر
ہو گئے مجبور اصغر مسکرانے کے لیے

کاٹ لی تم نے زبانِ میثمِ تمار پر
رسمِ مدحت چل پڑی اب ہر زمانےکے لیے

اس سے کیا رشتوں کے بندھن اس سے کیسی رسم و رہ
کینہ رکھتا ہو جو حیدر کے گھرانے کے لیے

عشقِ حیدر میں جنوں شارب ہو گر بہلول سا
با خرد حاسد ہوں پھر تجھ سے دوانے کے لیے
