Kyon na aaj uski yad main roya jaey
In ansoon se is dil ko bighoya jaey

woh akhri baar mere itney qareeb aaya hai
kyon na in lamhon ko ankhon main samoya jaey

behr-e-mohabbat main mere sath nahi raha hai tu phir
Kyon na apni kashti ko apney hathon se daboya jaey

woh aaj hamesha k liye chala giya hai 'zunair'
kyon na ab zindagi ko alwida keh k soya jaey

Aksar main pochta hoon us se yehi sawal
Jab chor kar jana he tha tu dil main rahi kyon

Der tak main ussey khara dekhta raha
dekha palat kar us ne mujeh maloom nahi kyon

Apna saman bandh lo is shehar se 'zunair'
Log sabab pochtay hain woh gayi tu gayi kyon

iItney sawal pochna acha nahi Zunair
Is per bhi pochta hai batao tu sahi kyon
