کیا اپنی اصل حقیقت سے، آگاہ ہوئے ہو تم؟
یا وہ بھی کتابوں میں پڑھایا ہے اور نے؟

خود اپنی منزل، راہ و ہمسفر چننے؟
یا اس کا انتخاب بھی کرایا ہے اور نے؟

اپنوں کے ستم چھوڑ، اپنوں سے کیا گلا؟
ہاں غم دیئے ضرور ہیں، جتنے کے اور نے

،جو اپنی کاوشوں پے بھروسہ کیا اگر
تو اُس سے بھی ہارے گا، زمانے سے، دور سے

غربت سے بھرے ہیں، اس دنیا کے محلات
اس میں بھی سبق ہے اگر، سوچو جو غور سے

،اب کیا کہیں نادر، پر کاٹ کے میرے
اڑنا مجھے کیسے ہے، بتایا ہے اور
