bas ek kamiiz thii jo meraa bhaaii le gayaa

jhuuTe qasiide likhe gaye us kii shaan mein
jo motiyon se chhiin ke sachchaaii le gayaa

yaadon kii ek bhiirh mere saath chhor kar
kyaa jaane vo kahaaN merii tanhaaii le gayaa

ab asad tumhaare liye kuchh nahiin rahaa
galiyon ke saare sang to saudaaii le gayaa
