[COLOR=green]It is the measure of man’s eye -[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]The black and the white;[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]The fancy of man’s tongue -[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Both milkweed and honey.[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]The tapping of my fingertips,[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]A soft arm and smooth cheek -[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]These songs of my spirit,[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Flowery and sweet.[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]My God has made this[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Colorful wine from water;[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]For some a sea of wine[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Is a droplet of zamzam;[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]For some a sea of zamzam[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Is a glum evening of sorrow;[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]To some a small white candle[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Stands bright as the moon;[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Some hear the message of Gabriel[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]From the red lips of the beloved.[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]One crown turns crimson with blood;[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Some throne blackened by night;[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]One found it on the cross;[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]The other on a red silken pillow;[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Some discover, like Moses,[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]In a lifeless idol the face of the beloved -[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]One turns it into dread and tears,[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]The other into beauty and spirit.[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Some from a flower, from a child’s face,[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Create the lips of love;[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Some find it by the narcissus,[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Some among thorny bushes.[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Happy the man who went[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Laughing to the lap of his love -[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Some tear from the bridal dress[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]A coffin for the beloved.[/COLOR] [COLOR=green]Lord! Lord!
