Hum kabhi jo bholay say ghar bananay lagtay hain
Yaad k darkhtoon pr phool aanay lagtay hain
Sirf aik lamhay mai rabt toot jata hai
Waqiya bhulanay mai phir zamanay lagtay hain
Aik tairay janay ka jab khayal aata hai
Aankh mai kaien manzr aanay janay lagtay hain
Amr waqiya hai yeh, chahtoon kay pairoon pr
Baarishoon kay mosam mai aashiyanay lagtay hain
Khud pay beet jai to kuch samjh nahi aata
Doosray sunaien to sab fasanay lagtay hain

Mera lafz lafz ho aaina, tujay aainy main utaar loon,
Main tamaam din ka thaka hua, tu tamaam shab ka jaga hua,
Zara thehr ja iss mor par, tere sath sham guzar loon,
Agr aasman numaishon main, mujay bhi azn-e-qayam hu,
To main motiyon ki dukan ki dukan se teri baliyaan, tere haar loon,
Kayi ajnabi meri rah main, mere paas se youn guzar gay,
jinhen dekh kr ye terap hui, Tera naam le kr pukaar loon
