ابھی مت ٹوٹنا اے خواب میرے

ابھی اڑنا ہے مجھ کو آسماں تک
ہوئے جاتے ہیں پر بے تاب میرے

میں تھک کر گر گیا‘ ٹوٹا نہیں ہوں
بہت مضبوط ہیں اعصاب میرے

ترے آنے پہ بھی بادِ بہاری!
گلستاں کیوں نہیں شاداب میرے

بہت ہی شاد رہتا تھا میں جن میں
وہ لمحے ہو گئے نایاب میرے

ابھی آنکھوں میں طغیانی نہیں ہے
ابھی آئے نہیں سیلاب میرے

سمندر میں ہوا طوفان برپا
سفینے آئے زیرِ آب میرے

تُو اب کے بھی نہیں* ڈوبا شناور
بہت حیران ہیں* احباب میرے
