baad muddatt unheiin dekh kar yuunn lagaa
jaise betaab dil ko qaraar aa gaya
aaaarzuuon ke gul muskuraane lage
jaise gulshan mein jaan-e-bahaar aa gayaa

tashnaa nazaren milii shokh nazaron se jab
mae barasane lagii jaam bharane lagaa
saaqiiyaa aaj terii zaruurat nahien
bin piye bin pilaaye KhUMAAR aa gayaa

raat sone lagii subah hone lagii
shammaa bujhane lagii dil machalane lage
vaqt kii raushanii mein nahaaii huii
zindagii pe ajab saa Nikhaar aa gayaa

har taraf mastiyaan har taraf dil kashii
muskuraate diloon mein Khushii hii Khushii
kitanaa chaahaa magar phir bhii uTh na sakaa
terii mahafil mein jo ek baar aa gayaa
