Jungle thay takeek kahin, kahin mitti rait k teelay thay,
ishq ki raah mein aanay walay pathar bhi nokeelay thay,

tere hijr k naag ka dasna kuch itna zehreela tha,
meri aankh se behnay walay aansu neelay thay,

saanson ki shat'ranj bhi haaray, phir bhi mil na paye wo,
un k pyaar mein hayal shayad Reet, Riwaj, Qabeelay thay,

Tum na'haq naraz huye warna maikhanay ka pata,
ham nay har us shakhs se poocha jis k nain nasheelay thay.
