vo saraapaa naaz thaa begaanaa-e-rasm-e-jafaa
aur mujhe haasil the lutf-e-benihaayat ke maze

husn se apane vo Gaafil thaa mai.n apane ishq se
ab kahaa.N se laauu.N vo naa-vaaqfiyat ke maze

merii jaanib se nigaah-e-shauq kii betaabiyaa.N
yaar kii jaanib se aaGaaz-e-sharaart ke maze

yaad hai.n vo husn-o-ulfat kii niraalii shoKhiyaa.N
iltamaas-e-uzr-o-tamahiid-e-shikaayat ke maze

sehate.n laakho.n merii biimaarii-e-Gam par nisaar
jis me.n uThe baarahaa un kii ayaadat ke maze
