k ik ikhlaas ka darja bana kr zaat gum karna
Andheri raat k aansoo ko har din main bayaan karna
khud hi aasman ban kr, kisi ki aankh ka tara
khud hi torr daina aur kisi ko teergi dayna
kisi sey gilay kerna, kisi ki bewafai key
Aur uski zaat ko bhi jafa pe maamoor kr daina

khud ko keh ker majboor, kisi ko majboor ker daina
kabhi mazoor ko lafz-e-hunar sey chuurr kr dena

muhabbat yeh nahi hoti, muhabbat wo nahi hoti

Hoti hay zamaney bhar ki ranjish bermala laikin,
muhabbat naam hota hai jabal ko tuur kr daina
saath bhi rehna, magar is beniazi sey
k chand aur suraj ki misl mash-hur kr daina

kabhi apni aankh sey daikhna kisi k khwab ko
kabhi apni nazar sey himatein mansoob kr daina

Aisi muhabbat to kabhi majboor nahi hoti
kabhi mazoor nahi hoti
kabhi mazloom nahi hoti
manzoor na ho sarey zamaney ko
laikin kabhi maghloob nahi hoti
