Forty Rules of love by Elif shafak.
This book called Forty Rules of love by Elif shafak is loved by many. It was so popular. So, I decided to read it and I was hoping to fall in love with it which did not happen. Except for the rules and certain parts of Shams' life I did not like anything else. Or may be I am unable to extract the message out of the main character's life the woman who leaves her children and husband behind to pursue a relation where she found "love". What is the profound message that I am unable to grasp?

No need to stress your mind, there is no profound message. It is an average read for a bibliophile and below average for a picky person.
Regarding popularity have a look at popular movies. There is nothing special usually, sometimes even worse than the the rest; same goes with the books most of the time. |
