A suggestion about deleted posts and threads

@last island ........
Please consider my humble opinions that i think would be great for future.

Please Create An ANNOUNCEMENT THREAD( thread which will be at all forums u wish it to be ) about deleted posts and threads. whenever u delete a post or a thread , make a post in that ANNOUNCEMENT thread that y it has been deleted .... it will ease heck of frustration because some threads and posts are very important from members point of view but they may not be from THE TEAM prospect ...... informing people about the action will help u develop more great relations with them !!!

Take care !

Suggestion no 1 noted.

About deletion thread, sorry we cant do so. We remove so many threads and posts daily and its rather impossible to report about deletions every now and then.

I agree with Last Island. It is not advisable to make an announcement about each and every deleted thread. If someone has a genuine complaint then he/she may raise the matter with the moderators.

Main thing is reason of deletion. Why a thread is deleted ? Member does not know the reason but Active Mod. knows it. Sometimes it creates tiff between members & mods.

Yes a 'Deletion Thread' is the right solution and applicable too. I suggest the following columns in 'Deletion Thread'.

Member's Name........... Title of Deleted Thread........... Reason
XYZ .............................aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ........... Duplicate/Rules Violation

In my view, a unchecked box is used for the deleted thread so that it could not be seen at forum. Some site development will be required to produce 'Reason of Deletion' in a tool like combo box.

The reasons for deletion of threads/posts have already been mentioned, but only few bother to read and pay heed to the most essential (both rules and reasons). Kindly, visit the links below:

Thank You!

Further, whenever we - the management - feel that members should be informed prior to deletion of a thread/post, they are informed. Even before closing a thread we always mention the reason. In addition, whenever any member asks about the reason we always respond. What else? Now, we cannot go about listing reasons for each and every action that we take. And a lot are taken by different mods everyday. Also, mods are not bound to provide reasons for everything. I hope that I have made the point very clear to all.

Hence, it is not at all needed.

Regards,
P.R.
