HELP Moderators..!

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

... This is what the cssforum.com server says when i try to click on the page other than the first page under any head..
e.g i wanted to see some stuff on current affairs... it showed the first page.. but did not allow me to see beyond the first page..
I logged out and logged in again to see if it gets fixed..
but in vane!!
And am sorry to post my problem under an inappropriate section.. could not find any other..

Help Please??
Clear your cache please.
First of all, Thank you for addressing my issue..
i just cleared the cache, cookies and browsing history.. i normally do that to keep the PC in optimum state..
same result!!
Can't access the subjects section apart from the first page.. same message is being displayed!

Do i need to make another account?

After clearing cache, cookies and browsing history... I can access the optional subject heads, but not the compulsory heads!!
I hope all it needs is a little time... will log in after an hour or so to see if its ok with me..
Will Post my status then..
Thank you Mod!

No you dont need to make another account. As few other members are coming across this error as well, problem must be at our end. Let me report to the admin. He will definitely look into it.

Sorry for inconvenience.

Grateful me Mod!

Am grateful Mod... i really am!! :)

by the way, just to provide you with some info so that you forward it to the concerned end or think over it on your own..

1- Only Pakistan Affairs is behaving fine under the Compulsory Head.. No other subject is allowing me to go beyond the first page under the Compulsory Head..

2- I can access the entire Optional Head..

Thank You Mod!!

Are you able to access these sections as a guest (logged out)? did you try using a different browser and clearing cache of your existing browser?

mjkhan Wednesday, January 26, 2011 03:46 PM

i also had the same problem right after the day when css forum was closed for maintenence puposes etc....but that happened just in one thread which i dont remember...after that everything is fine

the pupose of telling all this is just to to bring this thing in your notice

Cache Cleared, Browser Changed, Guest Appearance Given..
Are you able to access these sections as a guest (logged out)? did you try using a different browser and clearing cache of your existing browser?
__Although changing browser did not make any sense to me, as Pakistan Affairs in Compulsory Subject is behaving fine, with the same browser (Mozilla Firefox 3.6)
But still, to take on your suggestion, i logged on with google chrome.. but same result, can't access beyond the first page under Compulsory Subject Heads!!

__Cache is cleared, i do that normally to keep my PC in optimum performance State!!

__I checked it as a guest as well, but same out put!

In short, there is something seriously wrong with the forum's server!!!
Or
May be i am extra ordinarily Unlucky!!
I wish i knew something of this nature could happen when am less than 30 days away from my 1st paper!!

There is nothing SERIOUSLY WRONG with the forum server and if you are having issues, ask nicely. There is no need to accuse the forum or management. We recently did some maintenance and during the offline period, members visited some sections of the forum that were not available at that time. It is very normal that some ISPs cache pages for fast browsing and even if you clear your browser cache or use a different browser, you still see the old content delivered from your ISP's cache. I am not certain that your case might be the same but it is pretty much likely. If none of this makes sense to you, its time to move on and stop complaining.

A Big Thank You & an Oath to the Respected Admin!

__Dear Admin.. to be honest, i could not find the "not asking nicely weak link" in all of my posts regarding my problem and am sure you have read my posts.. my posts did not have the word "management"
, accusing is out of question, i never did that!

__Forum?? Forum is hanged upon the world of web, Prone to internet technical problems... By "seriously wrong with the Forum" i meant those technical problems, not You or any other human managing this forum!!

__And Last but not the Least, it was mentioned in the first reply to my issue by Moderator Last Island "that your problem will be forwarded to the Admin", and the Honorable Admin written under your Honorable Nick suggests that you are the one to resolve my issue or if not resolve, at least show a little sympathy rather than asking me to stop complaining, which i suppose, according to you, is the deserved manner to address and resolve my issue, i can see that.. and am thankful to u for that!!

__A Big Thank You & an Oath of Not Making Any More Complaints ends my post! :)

No Hard feelings!
PeaCe!!
