A query and a suggestion...

Question: Is it permissible to pick out an old thread and post your views (like I am a new member and I found a couple of threads interesting but since they were 5 and 8 months old, I found it better to ask the moderators)?

Suggestion: If you people start a general thread dealing with queries or complaints (there can be two different threads though) and make them sticky, it would be useful for members to post their queries without creating a new thread every time.

Regards.

A member can always do that.

Members do not bother to read old useful sticky threads. We have sticky thread for compulsory and optional books. Dont they make new threads everyday? We have so many sticky threads in feedback section, still they keep on making new one throwing same queries again and again.

I would like to add that we have time and again requested members to please search through the forum first for their queries ,and then ask further questions. We have pleaded with members to please refer to the suggested books section, but still they prefer asking every CSP about the books he/she used for preparation.Take the example of my thread.I have written nearly everything about all my subjects, still people come back asking the same questions. We can just hope that members heed to our requests.

Dear Last Island and Hamza Salik

In my opinion, this must be comminucated to all members, in this way our forum will be more effective and i think we are lacking in this area people prefer to post new thread rather then to search them database. i have found many answers of my querries in past threads and posts......,, good point fatima i appreciate ur stance:bow

This has already been communicated to all of the members in the shape of rules, announcements, sticky thread and frequent warnings. They prefer to do what they want to do and least bother to follow the directions provided.

Dear last island

i agree with ur stance, it is culture in our nation nt to follow the rules, i mean to say the policies should be reviewed in such a way tht repition of posts and threads reduced to maximum level

Last Island Tuesday, September 13, 2011 02:14 PM

Policy is not the reason for repetition.

Muhammad iqbal Serwar Tuesday, September 13, 2011 02:19 PM

dear i m not saying policy is the reason of reptition ...i m saying efforts should be pondered in such a way so that reptition decrease to maximum level

And how do we do that??

If you just go to my thread and see the number of times I have requested this personally to the members, you would be surprised.Uuper request ki jaati hey, neechay koi member dobaara wohi sawal pooc raha hota hey.Jub rules bna diye,100 bar warn kr dia,tw iss se ziada ub hum kya kar sakte hey?Agla solution yhi he k iss bat pe hum mebers ko penalize kurna shuru kar de,lekin phir wo boht harsh hojayega. So we can only issue warnings, and hope for the best.Policy is there, implementation is there as well, lekin kissi pe asar nahy hota.Allah members ko samjh dey.
