I think only an IB official can answer your question
Have you been selected in IB?

I don't think so. Members on this forum have information regarding such details. That is why I asked.

No I have not been selected. Cleared 1st test but could not pass the 2nd one. Now I have applied for AD (MoD) and would apply for the next AD (IB) jobs.

The line is self explanatory. 20% of basic pay is allowed to IB personnel as special pay as per policy. At first stage basic of BS-17 is 16000 and it will make 3200 as special pay. At higher stages it will be accordingly.

Regards!

Thank you dear but it is not mentioned that 20% of basic pay rather it is 20% Special Pay. That is why asking this point. Do you know about any other benefits attached with Special Pay? Please share.

Though there is no announcement regarding syllabus for the test, I hope test pattern would remain same for this test as well.
The best way to prepare for any test in short time is to start preparing from the past papers (which are available on this forum). In addition to past papers of Assistant Director or this level of tests, try to prepare from the past papers of the CSS EDS, Pakistan Affairs, Current Affairs, Islamiat and English Composition. Along with that, start reading newspaper especially international news and columns and editorials. It would increase your knowledge base of multiple issues and topics. If you can take notes while reading newspaper, it would be the best strategy to deal with the both general knowledge and essay. And this practice would also improve your vocabulary as well. Last but not least, improve your English grammar skills. In this respect, you can take help from any good grammar book.
