2 years experience as an advocate from the date of membership in any bar.

regarding where u should start from
i have uploaded all the acts regarding the preparation of exam
u can start from there

regarding when exam will be held
keep ur finger crossed as Mr president is likely to remove more judges

Need guidence for Civil Judge cum Magistrate exams

Hi to all

Well im new to this forum and reason i,ve joined it to get hold of sufficient knowledge and information about judiciary exam. i did law in 2007 and did internship for six months apparently, now im not working for some reason and i got enrolled in Punjab Bar at 6th may 2009 soi wanted to know that when would i be ellegible to take this exam as i have came across a contradiction on issue of experience and age limit. so please tell me the criteria.

@mirfaisal

could you please give me the link of those uploaded past papers and bare acts? and as you ,perticularly, seems to be the one having dexterity regarding issues of this exams so can you also please refer me some good comentries of all subjects not guides comentries or specially chotay waly subjects ki.

@Hina 11(MISS Einstein)

if you dont mind mayi ask that have you taken this exam so far?

i,ll welcome all suggestions and advices. please do guide

kind regards

mirfaisal Thursday, September 11, 2008 08:04 PM

dear zarkhan
as u have enrolled in Punjab bar association on 6th may 2008, u must have a Punjab domicile but u have not yet told me that u got registered in any district/sub-division bar so if u want to sit in exam u have two options
1. you have to wait for 1 years which will not count from Ur license date rather the experience counts from the date of registration in any district/subdivision, to make u eligible for PCS judiciary exam. the amusing thing is that in these 2 years u can do any job, because u got the experience certificate from the respective bar easily.
2. pray hard to Allah so that the Punjab public service commission remove the experience restriction.
regarding your specific question to me
1. link to acts http://rapidshare.com/files/58350833/law_acts.rar
2. http://www.cssforum.com.pk/other-competitive-exams/pcs-pms-other-competitive-exams/past-papers/12391-all-up-date-papers-pms-pcs-judicial-till-2006-available-download.html
the above link contains papers till 2006, i will upload 2007 papers soon.

now time for good advice
1. do not rush for commentaries, just go through bare acts and learn by heart any good guide because headings give number.

regarding the @Hina answer
i don't know about that member, 2 years experience is must for Punjab only and other provinces are absolved of it.

see ya

zarkhan Friday, September 12, 2008 12:15 AM

@mirfaisal

thank you so much for replying . actually at the moment im not in Pakistan and i,ve asked someone to apply for my enrollment in local bar whic he had successfully but only a couple of weeks ago so as soon i,ll get my id i,ll let you know the date. and what i have incurred from your reply is that still i have a year to be ellegible for this exam?

i will definitely follow your advice as to be very honest i want to do it in one go and for that i also want you to please give me some suggestions about preparing english, urdu and general knowledge subjects so i,ll be highly obliged if you refer me some ,very precisely, books for these subjects as well.

awaiting reply
regards

P.s= Dont mind me asking but may i know what is your qualification and your present status?

mirfaisal Friday, September 12, 2008 12:25 PM

Once again thank you very much mirfaisal for the guidence. i,ll start reading sections which you have given as preliminary guess from your uploaded bare acts as told you im not in Pakistan so can,t access books untill my return to country. i will inshAllah be in touch with you as fro judiciary exam we have to rely on "self taught programme" so will be keep on bugging you:(

im sorry to hear about your failuer in interview but dont worry im sure you,ll clear it this time inshAllah . But may i know what happeend in interview as before asking for guidence i told you that you seems to be the most well informed active member of thisforum. so would you like to share your experience by telling us what (in your view) proved to be an achellie's heel , what was lacking then?

Mir could you please also tell me a litlle bit about preparing the other subjects like english, esp urdu and GK. i mean which books shouldi consult forthem and which syllabus one should follow or when preparing these subjects which areas one should stress upon..

Kindly Help me

AOA to all memebers,

My query is to Dear Mirfaisal and all experienced Civil Judge aspirants, I want to know the date from which the experience of two years is counted as couldn't understand what senior member Mirfaisal was trying to concentrate on membership of the bar.

Kindly tell me for how long I will have to wait to appear in PCS Judicial exam. I want to tell you that the result of my L.L.B 3rd part exam was announced on 4th April, 2008. I submitted intimation form on 1st April, 2008 and also indicated April 01, 2008 as the starting date for practice and passed the intimation exam on August 02, 2008. Now I am waiting for the completion of six months period which would complete on September 30, 2008 to be enrolled in Punjab Bar Council.

In the light of this information kindly guide me to the way through which the period for my experience starts as soon as possible. Also tell me the difference of registration in Punjab Bar Council and Division/District Bar. I was reading the form for enrollment in PBC which I have to submit immediately after the completion of my intimation period, I saw it was written that one must have to become member of a Bar Association within six months after your enrollment. what is the procedure to become member of Bar Association after enrollement in PBC and when one can submit one's form for Bar Association memebership after enrollment in PBC.

Kindly tell me the procedure in detail through which my experience for two years ends as soon as possible.

Thanks!

Dear zarkhan
you are always welcome, regarding interview i m sure that was a wonderful experience for the judges who took my interview. I will post all questions in separate post. For the guidance of English, Urdu and General knowledge, wait for part B of 100% success. for the time being choose an intermediate level grammar book for english.
Dear Omer hayat
My query is to Dear Mirfaisal and all experienced Civil Judge aspirants, I want to know the date from which the experience of two years is counted as couldn't understand what senior member Mirfaisal was trying to concentrate on membership of the bar.
the date of experience counts from the date of your registration as a lawyer in any bar after your have got license from punjab bar council, in other words first step is license of punjab bar council and then 2nd step is registration in any bar.
Kindly tell me for how long I will have to wait to appear in PCS Judicial exam
As you have not yet obtained ur license and registration, how can one calculate the time.
In the light of this information kindly guide me to the way through which the period for my experience starts as soon as possible. Also tell me the difference of registration in Punjab Bar Council and Division/District Bar
just wait for license and when u got it file your registration in any bar.
Also tell me the difference of registration in Punjab Bar Council and Division/District Bar
registration in punjab bar indicates that u are a valid lawyer and registration in a bar indicates that u are a practicing lawyer

helloo everyone!

welcome back all...its really glad to be here back...

well i just wanted to ask from seniors or anybody who have got info regarding my question...
since we know that the eligibility for the post of civil judge cum judicial majistrate is LLB & 2 years experience as an advocate..is this aplicable to all
provinces???or other provinces are exempted form such condition of 2 years experience????another thing that i came to know is that in NWFP bare acts are provided in exams,is it so???plz do let me know...
well i just pray that PPSC remove the experience restriction....

best of luck to all!

4rm psh Saturday, January 03, 2009 07:33 PM

As to the ist Q .....two years experience /enrollment is required only in Punjab PSC EXM.No such thing is required in other provinces.
As to the second Q .....Yes Bare Acts are provided in NWFP for all major & minor Acts except Islamic law & jurisprudence & hadood laws.B.A not provided though in punjab. Don't know about other provinces.

One more exception that I forgot to mention is the Law of pleading which is also an exception to B.A.

Regards.

Islaw Khan Saturday, March 07, 2009 07:21 PM
